  1. One more, topped it off with several hours of snow this morning. Even more impressive, we have been below 32 for over a full week now.
  2. Few Pics 1st pic the day as the first storm was slowly winding down, close to 3 inches of pure sleet on the highway. Pic 2- we had sleet drifts instead of snow drifts. Pic 3 after Storm 2, the sleet and freezing rain combo storm. Pic 4 gives a bit better view of how much fell.
  3. I for one could do with out all the freezing rain expected. This last storm, we didn’t change over until the very tail end, ended up with about 3 inches of sleet on all roads. It’s going to be forever getting that off and now the huge threat of freezing rain. Wish for once, the warm nose forecast is wrong. We’ve been below freezing since some time last Thursday. In the teens since early Sunday and the water pressure in the whole town has slowed to a crawl. Don’t need power outages on top of that.
  4. Ended up down SW of you all in NW MS unable to break the warm nose. We had some of the heaviest sleet I’ve ever seen as the main band came through, temps between 13-15 during that time. Very little snow on the back end. I thought we didn’t have much until I ventured out for a couple of seconds, appeared to be 2 1/2-3 inches on the roads.
  5. Woke up to another low temp bust, down to 20 with first precip on the approach from SW. looks like we got that cooling trend I was looking for up above. The forecast now calls for up to 6 inches with 7 on the high end. Don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a storm this large with temps like this.
  6. Actually, at the surface it’s very cold, currently 20 and snowing in Memphis, further south where I am, 27, with ice in all the ditches around. We even had snow grains here yesterday. That said, with that much liquid, I’m hoping the models are off as they have been all week here. Not looking forward to any power outages.
  7. Hi, the local NWS for my area, Greenville MS in NW MS states only up to 2 inches of snow on top of sleet and freezing rain which I don’t want. However they have been wrong all week with this air. We haven’t been above freezing since Wednesday night I believe. According to the data above we are in a max zone. Do you think they are underestimating the CAA? The last time we had anything over 3 inches was many years ago, early 00s.. Just wondering!
  8. Got a bit more here in NW MS than I was anticipating!
