  1. Just so you know we can actually see how much these maps show for Orangeburg. We don't need you to post every time
  2. The next time I do this I need to get an airbnb with some elevation. I was at the red roof inn off the interstate and ended up with maybe 12” on grass, a lot of which was sleet. Saturday afternoon while nothing was sticking in town I drove up to a GPS indicated 2700’ and the ground/roads were white.
  3. We flipped to sleet in Hendersonville around 4am and are still sleeting, would love to at least end as some snow
  4. About to get some sleep. Big flakes still. No idea how much snow we have, maybe 7" at this point? Pics were taken about 40 mins ago or 11:30pm. Size 11 boot print in grass for depth reference.
  5. Really wish I had brought a ruler or something but guessing at least 4" on cars and grassy surfaces in Hendersonville right now. Wind is picking up, temps dropping, rates cranking.
  6. I really miss snow at Furman. And Furman in general. Anyway snowing in Hendersonville
  7. Models already account for precip not reaching the ground dude.
  8. Hendersonville right off 26, probably around an inch now that the sun has gone down. Starting to stick to the roads.
  9. Rates picking up slightly in Hendersonville just as the sun is going down. Roads starting to get slushy and parking lot of hotel is starting to turn white. I'd say we have almost an inch now right off the interstate.
  10. @SnowNiner scroll up, that wasn't the most recent map. GSP issued a new one at 3pm that is a few posts above.
  11. When I went to Furman I used to love doing that. Passed by TR/Furman area on the way up to Hendersonville today around 11am. As I climbed into the mountains my GPS seconded the 1400 foot snow level.
  12. Just got to my hotel in Hendersonville, very light flurries currently.
  13. Morning everyone! I’ll be posting in this thread this weekend. Leaving now from Atlanta and should be in Hendersonville around 11.
  14. Hendersonville it is then. Not a bad drive at all from me and if push comes to shove gf's parents own a business there and I can sleep on the floor lol.
  15. Still undecided on where to go. I think Fletcher/Hendersonville is a safe bet for at least 10" but GSP's probability maps favor places like Brevard or Morganton. My gut tells me Brevard could end up too far west and lose CAD. Thoughts?
  16. For my upstate people GMU rose from 2.9” at 15z to 6.0 at 21z.
  17. Meanwhile i moved to metro Atlanta and was expecting maybe flurries. Midtown got maybe 4” and Canton got close to a foot. I was shocked lol
  18. Going to book a hotel room tonight -- Staying the night Saturday at my gf's house in Greenville (to see Hamilton, I wonder if it'll be canceled) and heading north first thing in the morning. Would y'all say Hendersonville, Asheville, or somewhere else that's relatively easy to get out of?
  19. Keep me posted on what you end up deciding. I’m gonna have to do some more research also.
  20. Took a personal day and going to be chasing this one Sunday am into Monday. Will be interesting to see where to go. Asheville would be convenient from Atlanta but I’m not sure that’s failsafe. Any ideas guys? Glad to be back on the forum again!
  21. Ah, the cottages. I have some memories from there but I don’t remember much of them. Lol
  22. Wasn't really main thread worthy, but there are some light returns showing up in the Triad; wonder if anyone sees flurries.
