    It is January 30th. DCA has close to 10 inches on the season. We have a full month+ of winter left. Remember that last week the first runs showing snow in our area were on Monday for what ended up being a Saturday night/Sunday morning event.

    From a brief check at archived DCA temps, it's been very rare since 2016 to see significant snow and extended sub-freezing temps: 1/13/19 (10in) - temps above freezing rest of week 1/6/25 (7in) - temps above freezing rest of week 1/3/22 (7in) - one day of below freezing temps 2/1/21 (5in) - temps above freezing rest of week Compared to this event where we haven't breached freezing since the event and are not forecast to till next week, at least a full seven days.

    It had one bad run like 160 hours out. GFS literally just waits 48 hours and caves to the Euro every single fucking time.

    What is up with your hate boner for the Euro? Look at the two model trend loops below. Monday 00z to Thursday 12z. I even removed the horrible 6z and 18z runs from the gfs loop.

    Got the same feeling for Georgetown. Campus is pretty well cleared but all the streets leading in are straight slush.
