  1. I was surprised in Kville how quick the secondary roads got coated. Wasn't thinking about it prior so it took me by a bit by surprise until I thought about it for a bit.
  2. My daughter lives down there in Greenville also. She's wanting snow so bad. She was hoping to have some for her birthday. Alas, birthday is today so no luck.
  3. I'm north of Kernersville, NC with 100% snow. Secondary roads are covered. Estimated .5"-.75" of snow. Daughter is in Wallburg and reporting that it's sleeting like crazy there.
  4. You would be correct. On closer examination I noticed that the falling precipitation is not frozen but liquid in form. It is also directed to a small select area and not widespread in coverage. That would be par for the course in our area.
  5. She has a very dry English type humor (my kind of humor...wife not so much) and enjoys the classics on one hand, and on the other hand enjoys Studio C YouTube clips from BYU TV. We used to get our English corrected (good vs well, etc) but not so much anymore. Needless to say, we enjoy her when she's home.
  6. Sorry but can't help it. My daughter is a supervisor over a group of curriculum editors in Greenville, SC with a masters in English and when she comes home for Christmas, well, you can figure out the rest of the story.
  7. I especially like the teaser at the bottom of this... "Everything can change in a heartbeat!"
  8. Mine was busted back the beginning of December. About a half inch or so but it counted! !
  9. The proverbial case of continuing to hang your hat on models showing something two weeks out. Where have I seen this movie before?
  10. I'd rather forget 78. That was worse than anything I recall with 77 unless I have my years mixed. I was living in NEPA at the time. Our septic line froze. They were digging a for a water line in one of the new developments above Scranton. They were finding the frost down as far as 14 feet!
  11. Too much hot air on this side blowing it away!
  12. 4 miles north of Kernersville in Pine Knolls just now. Posting here as the Dec obs are buried under multiple pinned threads. Do all of these threads still need to be pinned? Some mod needs to unpin the Nov obs and pin the Dec obs instead. Thank you!

  15. Don't know what to expect for tonight but we'll see. Daughter had to be in Lexington in Davidson County tonight and texted me that all of the main roads on her travel from Wallburg to Lexington were brined and ready for whatever. Interesting!
