  1. I agree. About a foot and half total between the two systems, and that was well over an hour ago. Hartland will post a big number.
  2. Radar looked encouraging but it's just too disjointed at this point. White rain in Simsbury.
  3. It's ripping dendrites in Barkhamsted as I travel back to Simsbury. Radar getting interesting for NW CT.
  4. This is wild. Legit blowing snow here on the Granby Hartland line on Mountain Rd. I'd say they have to be at, or in, double digits in terms of total snow here.
  5. I'd say hello - but I am on tight schedule. Parents arriving from Boston in an hour. Next time.
  6. The radar looks excellent. I'm tracking upstream banding and the overall storm. If I had to guess, some will be surprised tonight in lower elevations that got disappointed today. Maybe a consolation prize coming.
  7. This is going to be a fun before and after shot to follow up with. Granby reported 6" close to 2 hours ago. Here is the town of Granby, as I enter it now. I'm going to post a comparison on the other end of town.
  8. Getting cloud like bursts of snow when the wind gusts. Then in lulls its back to mix. I'm gonna take a quick weenie drive. North to Granby, then over to Barkhamsted and Canton.
  9. Wow. Snowing in Simsbury. Amazing difference in a few miles. Talcott really does help my area got whatever reason.
  10. Massive clumped aggregates fluttering down at the entrance to Talcott Mtn Park/summit ridge drive. It was rain in Bloomfield. Definitely echo dependant. If we could get a solid band it would get nasty quick. I'm

  14. Today I learned 'catpaws' is not a universally used term. LOL.
  15. At work. I'm tired AF. Been a long week. Real sour childhood feeling of disappointment this morning.
  16. National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA 334 AM EST Fri Dec 16 2022 ...ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL CONFINED TO NORTHWEST HARTFORD COUNTY AND AT ELEVATIONS AROUND 1000 FT AND HIGHER... Most of Hartford county will experience rain today and tonight. The northwest corner of the county where elevations are at or greater than 1000 ft, temperatures will be cold enough to support heavy wet snow. Storm total snow accumulations of 3-6 inches are possible in this small area of the county, including the town of Hartland. Isolated amounts up to 8 inches are possible toward the Litchfield and Hampden county lines. Heaviest snow falls late today. The combination of heavy wet snow and gusty northeast winds, may result in power outages in this region. In addition, snow covered roads will make for treacherous travel conditions. BL
  17. I think it's just the storm deepening dynamics at play etc prob no connection to anything
