CT PEEPS: Taking a scenic morning drive north and west of Simsbury. Any particular roads anyone recommends? I've looped the Barkhamsted reservoir on Rt 20 once prior... Might check out some of the more remote towns far closer to border in the higher elevations to scout property.

I will plan on 12:30, or 1 at latest. I'm up now at 5 am sharp pre-gaming Steel reserve 40s ( @weatherwiz) and zimas ( @Damage In Tolland)

Looks like Avalanche warnings for Tolland Mountain.

I'll look forward to tracking this even though it's outside the Hartford DMA.

That sounds about right,but I'm seeing some signs areas just north of the south coast get a nice fronto band on some models. I wonder. I only just opened modeling for the first time this winter today. That by NJ SW CT snow does move east toward you. I wonder if surpringly enough, somewhere near you had a higher potential total ceiling than here.

I feel comfortable with a general 1-3" forecast with ability to go up later.

Haven't seen this side of the fam in awhile, I like them more than my own. Pretty excited about it, won't lie. But if I can get a general gauge on how long you will all be at funkys, I'll at least be able to try to manuever. I really enjoyed meeting some new faces like wxwatcher, might have been first time I met hubbdave, winter wolf is great. Other than that I have the memory of a gold fish. Scott's never shown up to a g2g I went to, I think he has a problem with me. Now he's talking about hugging ray, he seems thrilled

To be fair, weenies were lining up on the Tobin just days ago. Not with winter cancel, but definitely eyeroll inducing.

Considering the vast array of forecasts and how under funded they are, I try to cut them some slack. Too much uncertainty and too little chance of reward trying to get into intimate detail with the general public this early. Will only result in confusion anyway.
