Was 1979-1992 really that bad? Not sure if you’re talking NYC north, but in the mid-atlantic we had PD1, 83 and 87. Grew up with those and had plenty of fun as a kid. Sure, we had lots of duds in between those winters but that’s par for the course around here.
...plus a fair amount of extreme cold.

July total rainfall 11.90" Second wettest July at our station
Monthly highest temp 92. Lowest 60.

0.30" from light rain so far. Bringing my ridiculous July total to 11.89 (plus anything that sneaks in before midnight).

Ready to take the plunge on a home weather station- the Davis Vue still the one you all recommend?
Prices vary a lot. This place has them now for $284.

90/78 currently; looks like my max, or close to it.
KNAK seems to be stuck at 89, but their DP is 77. Maybe they squeaked out a 90 somewhere in there.

Nobody reached 100 yesterday despite full sunshine. With the clouds this morning, and it still being in the 70s three hours after sunrise, I'm kind of skeptical of the three-digit forecast today.
Same thought here. Climbing from 68f here I'll predict a high of 92f. Downright overcast at the moment.
DP was 67.

Max 92f here

Received 0.14" for yesterday in a small storm at about 17:30.
Was thinking that I could go more than 2 rainless days in a row for the first time this month, but no.

Annapolis has become quite cloudy. Ceiling high, but close to overcast. Breeze too.

Interesting; PAX River and Naval Academy both seem to have topped out at 91f then fallen back into the 80s with a slight wind shift to the SE past 2 hours
(Might be another reason, but seems likely)

0.08"
Missing us to the north this time.
About 10.7 for the month. Checking my record, wettest July was 2018 with 13.43. That month was dry until the 17th.
Pretty tired of rain here. (Sorry drought stricken ones)

Storms on and off from about 4pm to 8pm. 4.31" rain.
Drove through very heavy rain this evening. Rutland road very flooded. Was in a line of cars creeping along. Road was repaved this month but not yet marked. Made it worse.
-
4.31" most intense was late afternoon, then another hard hit about 1900L. Steady rain in between. Plenty of road flooding.
Up to 10.6" for July

Severe warned at Crofton, plenty of thunder here (a mile away), but little else. Seems to be passing just north.
Update; 30 mins later finally got intense rain. Over 1" so far. Lots of thunder, somewhere nearby got it big I bet.

No power. Given up on saving the food. Given up on the BGE Outage Tracker also.

Never wanted to have a genset around, but got a good deal on one years ago and it has saved lots of food. (Especially if you include the neighbors who have sent a cable over for their freezer too)

Area was put under Enhanced Tuesday morning. So severe storms were predicted for afternoon , evening.
I think I was deleting my comment as you were typing. Took me a bit to find that Enhanced map.

My neighbors also had the 4 trees in a row uprooted, (but I didn't want to mention it because I don't have pictures ), but this storm was worse than I, for one, had expected.
EDIT: I deleted my comment. Scroll back far enough and SPC has an Enhanced call for the B-W corridor. College Park was right in the center. Pretty good call, looking back.

This is a poplar that destroyed my neighbor's deck. Uprooted, not broken. Had pea size hail at 18:30 , several other uprooted trees on our street. 1.44" hvy rain. BGE came back on at 1:00am.
Drove to Staples Corner and had to return by Rte 50. Two routes closed by trees and wires, one by flooding (450, as if we all didn't know)

Fairly intense here in Annapolis for about 15 minutes at the heart of it. Gusting and heavy rain with low visibility. Not much thunder though. Will be interesting to get a look at the gauge later.
Starting to clear now.
