38.7F this morning. Soil temp down to 59F. Sad.
I'm thinking of bagging the lawn project. The guys still haven't gotten to it. I can't imagine roots will take well enough before 1st frost.

High of 55.3f. Pretty chilly.

How do you calibrate? Mine reads low too
Is this a sudden, recent issue or has it been gradually undermeasuring?
Definitely try to get the bubble centered to rule that out. Make sure the cone hole is clear and there is nothing obstructing the tipping mechanism. If it’s still a fail after that it may be time to adjust the screws and calibrate it.

Yeah, was hoping for a northward trend.
From GYX this afternoon:
.SYNOPSIS...
Gradually increasing humidity will continue into tonight as
moisture from the remnants of Florence approach New England.
Eventually rainfall will move in from the southwest after
midnight and continue into Tuesday for the southern parts of the
forecast area. Near the Massachusetts border rain may be heavy
at times, while in the foothills it may struggle to rain at all.
So the distance between haves and have nots may not be that
large.
We got 2/3" from Gordon's remains, while points south and east got 2-4 times that amount. Ratio might be infinite for this one.

We'll probably get short end of stick too. Just in time to start next lawn project
Fields are again super dry. Of the 4 chestnut saplings, the one in the shade is doing good. The others are dropping leaves and ground is hard as rock. I just can't keep watering deep enough. Pond remains empty and the brook at the bottom of my hill is trickling. NNE needs a good soak. Here's the new 12Z Euro. NNE and me get the shaft yet again. You'll get 2-3" and report about chickens floating around and I'll watch the hills south of me obscured in rain why I'll sit high and dry yet again. Still time for adjustments 50 miles N/S

Only by foot.
Can you travel on that road out to the lighthouse in low tide?

Cool. Lots of history here. Here's an old Castle in Gorey and a lighthouse on other side of island. That's someone's private home in foreground of lighthouse. Old German WWII bunkers around too.
If you run into a Legro (more likely Le Gros) around St. Lawrence, we're probably distant cousins.
I lose the thread a little in Reading, Mass in 1700, but it would appear my family migrated from Jersey long ago, settled in Newfoundland, then moved through Maine into Mass.

We're on a bus tour and was prepaid. Pretty much walked most of it. Stayed dry most of the time. Back to Dublin for some dinner.
Nice! I was there in April. Did you go all the way to the visitors center to do the Cliffs? We got a local tip to stop at a little turnoff at the bottom of them and walk up. Free of charge.

Congrats
Entire garden was frosted over this morning. Crap.
Cars and grass iced over. It said 33F when I started my car up. MVL dipped to 31F and the nearest PWS to the airport was 32F.

That's just dumb
$75? That's it? Sign me up! You're looking at $100-120 for a case at Trillium. 4-packs run $17-20.

Pft. Come up and buy a case (12) of Foundation. $75. I think it's ridiculous, but people are paying it.
I do like that the cans are not insanely priced. $3.50ish isn’t bad. We got some Bear and Julius. I could see going on weekdays early to grab cans, but it was a 45 minute drive. Beautiful facility. Great dogs
