    You are smarter than me but with a -PNA won’t we see lows cutting continuously regardless of the NAO. This may not matter for the NE…but the MA will be on the losing side more often than not. Seems like the -NAO is just keeping a full blown torch at bay.

    Saw that. sub 990 off ORF. Everything looks interesting next week but we are one adjustment north away from being in the warm sector on the GFS. So I won’t rest easy.

    Yes I do believe average temps or slight below are a solid prospect. I will take it. Probably won’t torch.

    Good enough. Xmas is chilly…we open gifts, hit the nog, and wait for next day. Xmas weekend so it counts as white. What could go wrong.

    the Op GFS was cold 12z for xmas eve through the end of the run...also dry

    the op run modeled Torchmas seems to be cooling off...don't need snow but don't want 70 either...in case Santa is listening

    This is good stuff. Maybe Jan produces. But what’s in front of us now through the end of Dec is largely AN as it looks now. On the GEFS our entire region barely gets below freezing even at night for the next 2.5 weeks. We need to get through that then who knows. psu is right why beat ourselves up. We have no control.

    That was an inspiring GEFS run. That -NAO doesn’t look transient to this untrained eye. It looks as stable and sprawling as my mother in law on the couch on Xmas
