    When you look at the N Hemisphere 850 temp anomaly way out to 384. The whole world is on fire basically. It’s just frickin warm. And snow doesn’t do well with warm. It’s our new normal. What can you do.

    Maybe not that easy. This looked fairly straight forward. 1050 digging into TX. Bitter cold air. I would have not thought this could fail too. No snow ever no matter what the pattern. No matter how close the cold is to us. Just cannot snow here. I’m convinced of this.

    probably because some might think that this run was just a stop along the way to euro town. on that logic 18z should be half of the 2-4 which was 6-8 at 6z...you know the drill

    this wasnt really in the pipeline that many days...I rolled back the runs and it didnt look that promising 4 days ago...the pipeline could easily get active after this...we just can't know right now...plus there is the whole convective feedback issue which we can discuss later.

    Bad shit can happen at 6z…wake up, take a leak, check 6z, put whiskey in coffee…seen it happen 100,000 times already this winter alone

    528 line marches a bit further south. Normally that’s good news. Now I fear it will push things further SE.
