  1. FCPS is delayed but they will reassess tomorrow for a closure. I am happy. Maybe I will become even happier.
  2. Yes, I know it's 90 %tile, but I just don't understand how this is even remotely possible.
  3. You have a point, but I would disagree. The HRRR 48 hour runs are unreliable, but anything within 24 I would say hold some meaningful weight.
  4. Interesting.... 23z HRRR with the heaviest totals just south of DC.
  5. If you live 20 miles south of DC, you will LOVE the HRRR.
  6. 23z HRRR might be showing what Terpeast is alluding to... there's a heavy band about 25 miles south of DC.
  7. The latest HRRR was one of the snowier models. Are you implying a boom is in the cards?
  8. are we doing an observation thread, or will this be it?
  9. Probably redundant (and if so mods may delete this) but the 22z HRRR is a significant shift north, and it is still snowing at the runs end. Likely would amount to 2-2.5" in DC.
  10. 18z Euro is relatively unchanged DC and points north, but totals are slightly less DC south
  11. i would post both, but unfortunately I don't have infinite attachment space.
  12. it's still moderately snowing at the end of the run, but it's slightly better (in terms of totals) than 18z's full run.
  13. the moon is a secretly a snow god and it's endorsing this storm?
  14. 21z HRRR might be the first run of the HRRR such that the entire storm is within its run. And dare I say the heavier precipitation is more north than 18z.
  15. Surprised nobody’s mentioning that DC and points south finally have a chance to reach December climo after several years! Pretty exciting!
  16. 18z HRRR is running, looks similar to 12z at hour 14.
  17. Hip, hip, hooray! 12z Euro is here to save the day!
  18. I hope you need a snow plow to get to the hospital
  19. Just imagine if this verified... but more seriously how is this outcome possible? Would a surprise coastal pop off?
  20. These overnight runs really do us dirty, but we always come back during the day.
  21. most modeling seems to be thinking that DC is the dividing line for an inch.
