  1. As is usual in April around PA, the perfect winter pattern finally takes hold lol. Next weekend looks cold and even the GFS hints the following week into weekend could have days 20+ degrees below normal a few times. As of 6z, shows Friday 4/26 sitting in the 40s and rain
  2. Holy wind now in Lebanon. That batch of rain moved east and winds are howling out of the east now. Bring on the trees and wires down next…
  3. 3.10” storm total rain in Lebanon now since Sunday night. Should get 4+” here given on/off heavy rain all day
  4. Currently 46° in Lebanon. So far today 0.85” and 1.60” total including Sunday night-Mondays first wave. Radar looks to get busy soon even with some lightning strikes
  5. Lets face it, our best winter patterns over the last few years have come in April lol
  6. Up to 68° here in Lebanon. Hit 71° yesterday so back-to-back days above 70 looks like a good bet here
  7. Surprisingly hit 71° in Lebanon earlier at 4PM…beautiful
  8. Sitting at 61° in Lebanon…feels glorious out
  9. Rain/drizzle has ended here in Lebanon. Storm total is 0.72”
  10. 44° here in Lebanon and 0.58” in the bucket
  11. 12z GFS temp anomalies for the 10 days ending mid-March…yikes
  12. Overnight looks quite convective tonight. Hoping for some thunder
  13. 12z Euro not showing much hope for winter storms the next 1-2 weeks. My gut says we will get 1 or 2 more chances in March before we put this season to bed for good
  14. Yes, in Lebanon my weather station hovered around 30° throughout the event. Seems like Lebanon City just skirted the southern edge of the death band. Saw on social media someone posted close to 12” in Fredricksburg about 7 miles northeast of me that parallels Route 78 near the Berks County line…wild stuff
  15. To illustrate the intensity of this narrow band that set up, I have a friend that lives 6 miles north of me near the 78/81 interchange in northern Lebanon County and they have about 8” and I have 5” closer to Lebanon City
  16. This goes to show that rates are everything for the duration of a storm. Before the last storm it was almost 50° 12 hours prior to start time AND rain first. Went over to snow and boom snowed 1”/hr for 6 hours and I got 6” and every road and highway caved immediately. This storm comes 12 hours after a high of 40° and comes at night but rates not nearly as great, we had the fluff factor make up for lower rates and no pavement caved this time
  17. Just measured 5” here in Lebanon with light snow presently. Like others, even with 5” on the snow board, roads and sidewalks just wet, even with a night storm
