Also just found out I won a trip at work to Florida in June for being a top 3% employee, if only they gave me more than a 2% raise... You really need to change jobs to make more money. I get comfortable and don't do well with change.

    It also depends on where the blocking is. West based NAO blocking favors inland runners while east based NAO blocking favors nor'easters.

    Blocking isn't the only thing that makes a storm go further NW. Phasing and cyclogenesis also does that. We saw that a few days ago with the GFS "bombing" out a storm over NE New York. The last few days have featured later phasing which has resulted in a further SE track.

    It was crazy disparity in temperature last weekend. I went from -22 on Friday morning to 78 degrees on Sunday Afternoon. That was the largest change in temperatures I've ever experienced. 100 degree swing lol, my body went into shock.

    There are 2 parts to this storm. The overrunning and the actual deepening nor'easter. WNY will likely only be impacted by the overrunning which should be 4-6". We likely get very little from the nor'easter. That will be for central/eastern NY.
