  1. Georgia’s secretary of state announces a ‘full, by-hand’ recount of presidential election votes as Biden leads https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/11/presidential-election-georgia-announces-a-recount-as-biden-leads.html?__source=facebook|main&fbclid=IwAR2x17MLEJQnTk3nli2yaGjJFT9ygqcIM3CwthRCxsqNiiU_LO6QV-xHzzE&fbclid=IwAR0mhgEBosYDjkt5Lv1GQ6R54tYbUNLgL3u70kqKbnJiAZcBhEbTQkEBIRY&fbclid=IwAR1YPa4viQq_lu5yPO7FgEInx8jYhMlHaHI79hFA9gJcZc7shQfO8JJdBBo
  2. We will likely be seeing 200-300k new cases a day in the next few weeks
  3. The number of coronavirus patients in U.S. hospitals has surpassed the earlier two waves and now stands at nearly 62,000. The previous record was 59,940 on April 15
  4. Cuomos travel guidelines: For any traveler to New York State from a noncontiguous state, US territory or CDC level 2 or level 3 country, the new guidelines for travelers to test-out of the mandatory 14-day quarantine are below: For travelers who were out-of-state for more than 24 hours: Travelers must obtain a test within three days of departure, prior to arrival in New York. The traveler must, upon arrival in New York, quarantine for three days. On day 4 of their quarantine, the traveler must obtain another COVID test. If both tests comes back negative, the traveler may exit quarantine early upon receipt of the second negative diagnostic test. Erie county released this statement today: Health officials say they will offer tests to Erie County residents who are under quarantine as close contacts of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases or who are symptomatic Erie County residents. https://www.wgrz.com/article/news/health/coronavirus/erie-county-department-of-health-announces-changes-in-covid-19-test-criteria-coronavirus/71-12aa0eca-9a9c-4596-8d34-a4404ebaa9bf So how do you get a covid test if they're only giving them to those with symptoms and those in close contact with covid positives? This is obviously going to increase the rate of infection ten fold because you're only testing those with symptoms...
  5. Everything is open, community spread. In particular I think its the schools. Kids don't follow protocols, its impossible to keep track of hundreds of them running around all day. Having them go to school 2 days instead of 5 doesn't mean much. I don't understand that logic. It should be 100% home school or 100% in school.
  6. If Jan is going to be below normal with an open lake and peak winter conditions there will be lots of potential. I would take that. From every forecast I've seen Dec 15-Jan 15th will be the best part of winter. That is also my favorite winter period so sign me up!
  7. If the true rate of infection caught is 1 in 5 people. We're averaging 100k new cases a day (conservative)* 5 500k cases a day (90 million) Already 10 million confirmed cases (50 million). In 6 months were at or near herd immunity and the vaccine will be too late anyways?
  8. True. The mortgage and rent deferral is why my wife lost her job and a law firm of 250 employees closed in Long Island. Also why my dad has not been able to kick out his tenants in the city that owe him 10k+ in rent that he will never see. Good Job Cuomo! It's a little easier to say he's done a good job when his tyrant rule hasn't effected you at all.
  9. A little different. I voted for Biden because Trump is insane. I hated both candidates, but the majority of America voted for the lesser of 2 evils. Same as 4 years ago with Hilary (won popular vote by 3 million, lost election by 80k votes) If a good candidate goes against Cuomo, he could easily lose.
  10. Not went you shut down everything like Cuomo did and is going to do...Voters will remember this year. He is planning a shutdown already in NYC.
  11. NYC average rent Beds Bot 25% Median Top 25% Studio $2,300 $2,595 $2,950 1BR $2,650 $3,150 $3,550 2BR $3,100 $3,600 $4,696 Max UI: $504 a week....
  12. You think? I'm not so sure. Lots of people have been shutdown the entire year and have lost lots of business. That map will dramatically change in 2022. You don't mess with a persons ability to put food on the table and clothes on their children...$500 a week UI in NYC doesn't get you very far.
  13. Just got back from hiking Dial and Nippletop. 14 miles in just under 7 hours. Hiked in shorts and tshirt. In the shaded areas above 4000 feet there was quite a bit of snow. 21/46 high peaks!
  14. Yeah, not really a fan of Biden. He's just a puppet for the democratic party. But he's better than the alternative, at least I think.
  15. You see Cuomos remarks today? What does that even mean... 0 % chance I vote for him and literally every single person I know isn't either.
  16. Trump just said he won Georgia on Twitter, as well as Penn, Wisconsin, and Nevada.
  17. Next 2 weeks feature the same pattern This isn't really accurate, but showing a warm DEC too.
  18. The same departures the reverse way would be a high of 25 degrees and a low of around 5. What are the chances of that happening now a days?
  19. More chaos from that press conference. Man featured at Giuliani press conference is a convicted sex offender https://www.politico.com/states/new-jersey/story/2020/11/09/man-featured-at-giuliani-press-conference-is-a-sex-offender-1335241
