  1. The RGEM is going to be right here. Moderate to heavy snow giant flakes.
  2. Erie band should drift south next few hours then back north overnight. Strongest part will be during overnight hours into tomorrow morning. However, if convergence boundary sets up across southtowns like it sometimes does it might park itself where it is until tomorrow afternoon. Ice cover throws a wrench into forecasting wind direction.
  3. Deep winter across the Eastern Lakes as well, despite missing every single synoptic event north, south, east, and west this year. My largest synoptic event this year was 6.8" on Christmas day...Just passed 80" on the season. Thank You Lake Erie!
  4. Use this radar to see ontario wind direction. Check out that piece north of Wilson. That's going to hit you guys in central ny. Possible mesolow forming as well. https://www.wunderground.com/wundermap
  5. Tonight Snow before 11pm, then snow showers likely between 11pm and midnight, then snow after midnight. The snow could be heavy at times. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible. Saturday Snow before 1pm, then snow showers likely between 1pm and 4pm, then snow after 4pm. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. Saturday Night Snow before 7pm, then snow showers likely, mainly between 7pm and 5am. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
  6. Bands merged and getting some moderate snow with giant flakes. Stuff that accumulates quickly.

  8. A fresh inch out there already. Just went over 80" on the season.
  9. 4-7" here. Consistent light snow outside now, starting to stick. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 PM EST SATURDAY... * WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches in the most persistent lake snows.
  10. Yep NW LES off of Ontario are by far the hardest LES to forecast. LES events off of Erie seem to be much easier to forecast. NW winds are easy around here due to orographic lift in the hills south of here.
  11. Lakes will get a major moisture boost from whats over Michigan overnight into tomorrow.
  12. lake coming alive sooner then expected and drifting north!
  13. Most of the WRF models hit here with a good band, not KBUF though.
  14. It has hit here several times this year though. KBUF thinks it will too https://www.weather.gov/buf/winter
