  1. Whose starting the next storm thread, I'm bad luck.
  2. The Buffalo Sabres had double digits people get infected with Covid after the NJ Devils willingly let a player on the ice play who had covid. As a result we were shut down for 2 weeks and our best Defensemen and most in shape player is really suffering from Covid. He won't be back for quite awhile...Really goes to show you no one is too in shape for covid. Hopefully he doesn't have permanent damage.
  3. Boston was definitely the winner at 46", West Falls/Holland shortly behind somewhere around 40", Eden between 30-35", Hamburg had 2' in the village to a little over a foot here to 6" near Mckinley Mall. I think the same with OP. Southern Op had 2 feet and northern OP a few inches. Either way, one of the most impressive LES events in recent memory. What made it the most impressive was 80% ice coverage. This wouldn't be nearly as impressive in an early season event. There have been countless LES storms the last 10-20 years where Boston gets feet of snow. The Erie county snow belts average probably 1-2 events a year with 2-3'+ totals.
  4. What a day. Today finalized my winter fix. I'm officially ready for spring.
  5. Feel pretty confident that my in laws got 3’ since last night.
  6. I’m still in the middle of it. the video I got is just weenie heaven
  7. At my in laws house in Eden holy **** my dog is 72 lbs
  8. I'm just over a foot here, have literally been 2 miles too far north to get into the good stuff
  9. The Cocarahs report earlier this morning was 1" of QPF and 22" of snow. Its perfect accumulating giant puffy snowflakes.
  10. So this picture is giving places just SE of my location 40-50" of snow in 24 hours...talk about insanity.
  11. I didn't know it was meteorologically possible for something like this to happen.
  12. BUF- 1041 AM EST SAT FEB 20 2021 LAKE EFFECT OFF LAKE ERIE OVERACHIEVED OVERNIGHT THROUGH DAYBREAK THIS MORNING AS SHORTWAVE TROUGH AND DEEPER MOISTURE CROSSED THE REGION WITH H85 TEMPS OF -14C. MANY REPORTS OVER 20 INCHES IN NARROW AREA OF SOUTHERN ERIE COUNTY WITH A COUPLE REPORTS AROUND 30 INCHES. HIGH SLRS AND FOCUS OFF THE THE LIMITED BUT STILL VERY EFFECTIVE OPEN WATERS OF EASTERN LAKE ERIE HELPED TREMENDOUSLY. LAKE EFFECT OVER WAYNE INTO N. CAYUGA WAS STEADY BUT NOT NEAR AS STRONG AS THE BAND OFF LAKE ERIE. AS THE FAVORABLE BACKGROUND FORCING AND MOISTURE IS JUST APPROACHING NOW, SEEING THIS LAKE EFFECT INCREASE AND THAT SHOULD STAY THE CASE WITH 1-2 INCH PER HOUR RATES INTO THIS EVENING. EXTENDED THE GOING WARNING THERE UNTIL MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AS THE LAKE EFFECT WILL CONTINUE HEAVY AT TIMES INTO THE EVENING THOUGH WILL BECOME MORE FOCUSED LIMITED IN COVERAGE BY THIS EVENING.
  13. Heavy snow has moved back in here but Boston Hills are getting destroyed...I really wish Devin won the house bid a few months ago for that Boston home.
  14. One for the record books occurring off a 81% frozen lake erie overnight. 30-40" since last night and still coming down heavily. In all my years following lake effect, I've never seen anything like it. I honestly did not know it was even possible from a meteorological perspective.
  15. A friend in Boston just passed 40" since last night.
  16. Go check out this thread. The pictures are insane! I've been following lake effect for 20 years and have never seen anything like it. A friends plow just broke from too much snow.
