  1. Looks like the primary driver of this good pattern was a sharp -AO.
  2. Statistical analysis states regression to the mean for those places and next year we have an all time winter right?
  3. 42" snow depth about 20 minutes SE of here. Average depth around 20" here
  4. With the AO going positive as well as EPO we are going to warm up.
  5. March is on average our busiest synoptic month by far. The wave lengths start to go further north and allow a general storm track near our location.
  6. The polar vortex was the reason for the cold in Feb. We had a -EPO in conjunction with it for about a week but -AO was the cause of the Feb cold. Interesting.
  7. This thing really is toast by April...cannot wait for a semi normal summer! New York statewide positivity rate, now at 2.99 percent, dropped below 3 percent for the first time since November 23.
  8. New York statewide positivity rate, now at 2.99 percent, dropped below 3 percent for the first time since November 23.
  9. Temps are pretty easy to predict 1-2 weeks in advance. Storms I agree are not.
  10. @BGM Blizzard Do you have the EPO forecast for the last few weeks? Seems like the -AO was our main driver with the Polar Vortex into the middle of the country
  11. Winter is going to be loosening her grip the next few weeks. I feel pretty confident in an above average March. Hoping we get one more synoptic event.
  12. There was a lot more open water than what was showing up on this website. If models are using this data than it needs to change, its highly inaccurate
  13. Whose starting the next storm thread, I'm bad luck.
  14. The Buffalo Sabres had double digits people get infected with Covid after the NJ Devils willingly let a player on the ice play who had covid. As a result we were shut down for 2 weeks and our best Defensemen and most in shape player is really suffering from Covid. He won't be back for quite awhile...Really goes to show you no one is too in shape for covid. Hopefully he doesn't have permanent damage.
  15. Boston was definitely the winner at 46", West Falls/Holland shortly behind somewhere around 40", Eden between 30-35", Hamburg had 2' in the village to a little over a foot here to 6" near Mckinley Mall. I think the same with OP. Southern Op had 2 feet and northern OP a few inches. Either way, one of the most impressive LES events in recent memory. What made it the most impressive was 80% ice coverage. This wouldn't be nearly as impressive in an early season event. There have been countless LES storms the last 10-20 years where Boston gets feet of snow. The Erie county snow belts average probably 1-2 events a year with 2-3'+ totals.
  16. What a day. Today finalized my winter fix. I'm officially ready for spring.
