    It shouldn't take you too long to find a good ice storm in Old Fort...how long have you been there?

    Luckily I have gas logs, gas stove, gas water heater...so, that lessens my concern...guy up the street here has automatic cutover to generator which is nice

    Was wondering how this shakes out among the group. This is for freezing rain storms...my assumption is that most are OK with sleet.

    I'm out of your region, but PD 1 was the coldest winter storm on record here going back to the late 1800's. It was a 10 inch snow in Charlotte with midday temperatures in the low teens...upper single digits north of here in Greensboro, NC.

    Over time, I've come to appreciate #3 more and more 3. Do not ever declare a bust when an event is just unfolding. You'll get burnt 99 times out of 100 and end up pissing people off. This is actually probably more important than the first two guidelines.
