1.33" when I add the 0.11 from late last evening + 1.22 from overnight, which fits with Manda's map.
It was ripping pretty good for about 15 minutes just after 4am, but with no thunder.
Now just misty and overcast. Quite a miserable day. Probably not much gets started again later without the sun to heat things up?

Wow that is one helluva line coming in. Must be some 70+mph gusts with that.

0.25" here. Some rumbles of thunder. Nothing remarkable. The line must've weakened before it came through.

Mt. Holly issues severe thunderstorm watch for all of its PA counties.
Western NJ is included too. Nasty looking line. Haven't seen one this well formed in quite some time. I'll have the flashlights and clothes ready in case I need to hop out of bed quickly. Hopefully it weakens some.

The line in western NY/PA is tasty. Odds it holds?
Possible Derecho if it holds far enough?

Another shower to throw me over 1.5" for today. As someone noted earlier - due to the extreme moisture content of the air even the little blips on radar are putting down moderate showers. Usually the light greens barley reach the ground and only result in a few drops.

3.74 for the day so far out here in the sticks of Warren County. Many reports of flooding in Newton NJ along Route 206.
2.31" here. That's 0.63 (this morning) + 1.68 (tonight). And we still might not be entirely done.
I saw pictures on facebook of the flooding in Newton. Down by where the county seat used to be. Looks like 206 was passable, but not by much.
Sparta police report via facebook a down tree and lines on East Shore Trail in Lake Mohawk. They are asking folks to stay off the roads tonight.

1.81" on the day. Ripping mad and it looks like it's got some staying power. Power is blinking on and off.

Look at that radar blow up over NW NJ/eastern PA. From clear to ripping in an hour. My total for the day is up to 1.43. I just added another 0.8" in the past little bit with that cell, and it looks like more to come. Lots more vivid lightening too.

That line was pretty intense moving through here. Lots of lightening and very loud constant thunder. Two cracks in a row where flash-bang types that had to be within a few hundred feet of the house. Picked up 0.63". Clearing out now.

The view up north is crazy from here in Rockaway..
Here's a view from my doorbell
Pause your video right at the flashes. Clouds looks like a man holding up a staff!

The lightening show is quite spectacular tonight. Our deck faces due north. Been seeing flashes light up the clouds every couple of seconds for the last hour and a half!

Gorgeous evening, at least compared to what it's been recently.

2.45" here. I'm not too far from Manda, but I think my total is good per the cocoras maps, as amounts got less as you went up through Lake Mohawk and into central Sussex County. I'm located a little north of the north end of Lake Mohawk.
For the record, I'm happy with less. I'd take another inch week from now if nature delivers. But she'll do what she's going to do.

If that stuff in DE moves through NJ that’s going to be catastrophic flooding.
sometimes living on the island has its advantages. I’m good on flooding!
We want rains to bust the drought for good. But not this much at once.

That craziness all throughout eastern PA has me a little nervous for later.

Up to 2.27" here. Rounds of torrential rain mixed in with steady light / moderate rain. Based on slow eastward movement and some training have to believe I top out at at least 4" for the event.
That might be conservative if we get in on that mass of precipitation still training through eastern PA.
It's been a while since we've seen a radar this geographically extensive at one time with heavy rainfall rates.
1.55" in the bucket here, but so far I'm missing the heaviest of it.

1.25" Good enough. But more is coming.
I'm missing the worst of it for now. Most of the deepest red is going around me. I'm not complaining.
-
0.92", rising quickly, and still pouring.
-
0.4" on the day and rising quickly.

Holy eastern PA!

I am under the front of it now. It’s rumbling and bumbling very slowly to the east.
The first round fizzled out before crossing the river. Maybe something will reform north of Allentown. Looks like there is potentially some flooding rains out in the Reading area.
-
Wonder what will become of that line out in eastern PA. Looks to be well organized at the moment and should have plenty of fuel as it heads north and east.

Given the bathtub water in the gulf, what's the chances Idalia blows into a Cat 4 or 5 whilst crossing the gulf?
