Yeah if the precip comes in heavy then id expect that to happen. Temps keep dropping slowly also..38-39 degrees with a dp of 28 is not too bad atp. I did mention yesterday about the blocking being stronger then modeled and it might be ringing true for our northern neighbors tonight.

Current conditions here..39/28f..oddly it feels wintry and pretty chilly out..i think the chance is there for a brief period of frozen precip even here in the northern parts of the city. The cold air is holding tough though!!.

Im still in the camp of a off cape may transfer.. then we might be talking wintry weather shifting south. Any shifts east and south would help many in this forum. Not totally impossible that the blocking is a bit stronger then modeled also.

All snow up here..never really changed touch of sleet and back to snow..still snowing lightly..its still cold also which is prob the more surprizing part.

Thats crazy.. from 1.7 in cpk to over 5 inches in the bronx is quite a diff. Wow.

It never stopped bud,ive been shocked to see it keep going and going and going..im over 5.5 rn..and still going here in the nw bronx. Some sort of low level moisture transfer is going on..coming off the ocean, has kept us in snow with no echos around i suspect.

Is it still snowing down there??..it hasnt stopped snowing up here yet..no echoes yet its still light blowing snow..over 5.5 here..

Still snowing at a gd clip here in the bx with no echoes overhead,i can say that the total has gone up,and whats even more interesting is the backend which is building to our west. It might be rain it might be snow but its still going strong..

5.3 here..light snow still falling..the east end is getting blasted right now..not a bad total at all..

You def should be. Im over 4.5 rn and im in the bronx..still snowing also.

4.3 down..snowing hard again..also some backfilling happening to our west. We might stay in the snow for another hour or so..very pleased so far. 5+ is in reach..

The backside energy is actually sinking south and slowing down as the coastal develops to the east..some type of fujiwara effect is going on and it looks interesting on radar and satellite. Surprized no model had this even as a possibility. It does look impressive with the blocking still holding tough.

Its crazy because brooklyn is wet and the bronx looks like a snowglobe rn..windy with heavy blowing snow currently. We blew past 3 inches already in most parts of the bx lower westchester county..some parts might even be at 4+ by now.

Theres going to be a stripe from northern nj right across in to northern nyc east to the no shore of li ..5+ inches is pretty much looking like a lock. My location has 3.1 rn and ripping!!

It is windy snowy and cold up here..i can verify its all winter up in these parts of norwood. Currently snowing hard temps have actually dropped back to 32 from 34 earlier.

Yeah we are currently getting crushed up here in the bx..but i figured all the mix would go back to snow down in the city.

Winds are now northerly so that should keep areas with snow as mostly snow. The mix line seems to have stalled right over the south shore maybe trying to push back south a bit. Heavy precip is also coming in. Currently moderate snow big flakes here ..officially 2.1 here in the bx and counting.

You might get a burst soon..the maxima of warmer air seems to have stopped just in time. The coastal is starting to do its thing rn!!

Yeah for you guys it sucks but less then 10 miles north of you its ripping rn.

I can verify..its ripping rn. I did mention yesterday that the northern bx/westchester border area will do gd here and so far its verifying.

Moderate snow rn with big fat flakes falling..starting to accumulate again. Some gd echos overhead rn and some more incoming. We prob dont change over until the end up here in the northern bronx.
