  1. If snowstorms are what you love more than anything, then you’d be in New England and not bitching about being wherever the hell you are. Jesus Christ, give it a rest .
  2. Warnings finally hoisted out of GYX Strike that…a warning popped up on my weather app, and I failed to realize I had been checking the weather where my stepson is in buffalo for a hockey tournament [emoji1751][emoji1751]
  3. Yeah, long time lurker, don’t post often at all. I prefer to absorb and decipher as much as I can while keeping quiet so as not to look a fool. Really looking forward to this event, and will likely be out in it all night plowing.
  4. Over on the ME border 20 miles off the coast, this is the yup of set up that we do very well with. Coastal influence encroaching generally up to our doorstep gets us something banding and if we can keep P-type issues at bay, the snow stacks up. The slogging easterly flow snow Monday also adds up here with a little OE influence, and that tends to keep up all the way over toward CON, close to you. I think we’ll do well. .
  5. Total neophyte here, but I was under the impression this storm would have near the dynamics for thundersnow. .
  6. Maybe find some place to score some edibles along the way and calm down .
  7. Heavy thunder snow in Rochester, NH. Pretty wild .
  8. 10-ish miles north of the Pope is -SN at 32.6°, grass coated, roads starting to slush a little. Going to sleep in prep for a wee hours call out for plowing. .
  9. From a Beal, and native son of Jonesport; be safe in whatever comes your way. .
  10. No breaks for beginners? Some helpful bunch you guys are[emoji849][emoji23] .
  11. Hardly…been hanging around for several years off and on, but never have anything useful to add, so I don’t post. I shouldn’t let that stop me, I guess, by the looks of it. .
  12. Jesus H Christ. You know what I love? Wading through dozens of bickering fool posts about who wants the end of the world and who doesn’t, just to get the one out of 10 that actually discuss weather and the science behind it. I’m not even knowledgeable enough to be called a neophyte here, but I love the weather…all the weather. It also affects my job, so I come down to these first 3 layers of hell to gain further insight about it…but damn, it’s getting painful to glean the useful bits out. Kick me out if you want, call me all of the name, I don’t really care, but you guys are nearly intolerable. .
  13. Looks nothing like that in Bow at the moment, just 15 miles south. I just drove to work from Rochester, where it was just starting to cover cars, through Northwood, where it looked like you in Northfield. Elevation was/is the deciding factor. I'd crest a hill with 3" on the road, only to get to the bottom and the roads are wet. Moderate to heavy snow in Bow(300 yards from the merrimack river) now, starting to pile up irrespective of the valley locale
  14. I’ll chime in on this for my inaugural post. 34* in Rochester, NH, falling steadily since sunset. Headed to sleep soon, as I’m on call and will likely be out at some point before the sun comes up. Hoping to wake to a full raging snowstorm at some point. .
