I knew somebody would catch that. Thank God I wasn't home and had my usual tabs open.
Wow! Looks like you found a model giving us 10 inches in one of your tabs!

I can't believe creating a new thread really worked
It's always the thread after the thread that's the one.

Should have posted this earlier, but the ECMWF ML FuXi model ("Foo-chi") is pretty optimistic for the Friday system as well. All totaled, at least ~10mm total, perhaps more since we don't really see the full resolution. That's like 0.4"-ish. Not bad.
It should be noted that the FuXi was consistent in having 0.15-0.30" with the Mon-Tue system, which appears pretty reasonable now.
It makes sense that the FU model would be the most accurate for our area...

We acheived snow globe status here for a while, but no accumulation. Temps dropped 10 degrees with the passage of the front down to 34. Let's hope this is the start of a nice wintry period!

Thanks. I do look in. At least we have two possible events to track. You've got a lot of pros and good enthusiasts so I'm not sure what I could add.
Some sanity!

I love Billy Joel. Grew up with his music. Everything he sings reminds me of ripping snow at 9 degrees in Dale City in January.
It's nine degrees in January

Tellin' tales about storms he's been inHe says, Dude why must it be a Miller B?
I'm not really sure when it snows
But it's sad when it's sleet and not measured in feet
While the blizzard in New York blowsLa, la-la, di-di-da

Bring us some snow tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a KU treat
But the ground ain't lookin' too whiteNow Bob at the bar is a friend of mine
He posts snow depth maps for free
But the climate's warming, and he's now squirmingCause there's some place the snow'd rather beHe says, Dude, this northern trend is killing me
As the snow ran away from his place
Well, I'm sure that we could see a real storm
If we could go up North to chaseOh, la, la-la, di-di-da
La-la di-di-da da-dumNow PSU makes posts like a novelist
Whose forecast cuts me like a knife
And he's talkin' with Randy, who's had too much brandy

As the salt trucks continue to brine
And the models get worse with every mouse click

But the ground ain't lookin' too whiteIt's a another bad storm for a January
And the forecast missed by a mile
'Cause its the new base state that's been making us wait
To shovel an enormous snow pileAnd the storm, it sounds like an epic fail
And our winter climate seems kaput
As I sit in my car and look at the radar
I see PSU will still get a footOh, la, la-la, di-di-da

Any drizzle is excessive. If it's going to rain, just get on with it.

They were faintly visible here in N. Bethesda around 5 AM. Just a slight glow to the naked eye, but the cell camera captured a faint red glow and some faint pilars. By the time I ran inside to get the SLR, they were no longer visible.
