    Wind is verifying. And the short term models swing a squall line through around 7pm. Could get ugly. Hopefully once this cutter swings through some snow threats show themselves next week.

    All snow in the west end. I measured an inch of sleet and snow on my board. Side roads are covered. The wind is something.

    From Wakefield AFD: In addition, hints of CSI is psbl as frontalgenetic forcing maxes out. Upshot is the psblty of some thunder snow as the systm wraps up. Even if the 4-6” forecasts busts we should all see a pretty epic band of heavy snow for at least a little bit.

    Looks like we’re gonna max out this ice accretion with no sleet this morning and the bonus precip overnight.

    HRRR is starting to show no sleet/snow. Just straight to freezing rain tomorrow morning.

    I was at harbor freight at parham and broad today and they had a bunch but were going quick. A bunch of people from Amelia were there to buy and said they would be without power for 2 weeks.

    Not good. The only way this gets worse is freezing rain with the sun down.

    Yep. I am expecting to lose power. This looks like a bad scenario with long duration light precip and plenty of cold air.

    Winter storm watch for Saturday. Around .25” ice.

    The 12z Para GFS shows a good snowstorm around RIC, 4-6". It has done well this winter, looks like the HRRR. Concerned about ice on Saturday. QPF doesn't look too heavy but 12 hours of freezing drizzle can cause problems I would think, especially with 3" + on the ground.
