  1. Thanks. Yea, we have an architect drawing up plans for us so we’re already at that stage. We have a contractor on standby as well but do you only do reno’s locally in your area?
  2. Yup. We pay close to $2400/mo for the two which is equivalent to the mortgage on the house lol. It’s insane. This is America.
  3. This is the complete opposite of last winter. Looking at h5, you’d think we’re snowing often but as Will said, we’ve been ‘unlucky’. I think that changes as we close out the month and into Feb, fwiw.
  4. Looks like we’re just a little behind schedule, that’s all.
  5. Take a break. Sit this one out.
  6. Thanks. I just told the wife this. There will never be a better time to take out a reno loan to do the upgrades we’ve been thinking about. My son also goes into kindergarten in Sept so we’re easentially getting a $1200/mo raise...by not having to pay for daycare. The stars could be aligning for us...just have to pull the trigger now.
  7. Hope you guys made videos and saved them to the cloud...if they had such a thing way back in 2015.
  8. Yea. That’s the issue for us. We can get max value for ours but then have to go into a bidding war and overpay for something else. So we’ll most likely do a reno loan or home equity to upgrade this one. We love the location so we’ll put in 100-125k of work/upgrades and call it.
  9. What was once a favorable Jan with a sketchy Feb seems to have been pushed back. Hopefully we won’t keep kicking the can all the way into April and ruin it lol. But I’ve always thought the atmosphere changes slowly and slower than any computer simulation wants to spit out.
  10. I’m just hedging this is a delayed but not denied favorable 20-30 day stretch
  11. But yes. Generally, houses are getting scouped up real fast in WCT.
  12. Those townhomes are the market, they’re available. We’re in a ‘love or list it’ stage with ours so we’re working with a realtor...she mentions these often but I’m just not a townhome person. https://b1iw.app.link/IzkFll1Z9cb https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/117-Brentwood-Cir-38_Danbury_CT_06810_M92988-26521?cid=other_shares_core_ldp
  13. Yea. City folk has flocked there but if Ant is buying a 800k two family home in the city (not new?)...he can get a brand new 2200sq ft townhome on the west side of dxr for 500k and have an hour and change commute, depending on where his precinct is.
  14. Sorry about your dad. I lost mine in 2015 at 65. Do you have to be in the city though? Can you come to coastal CT and train/commute into work? Even Danbury is a good spot for NYC workers...lots of folks there are originally from the city.
  15. This month has felt like Shaq at the free throw line...brick after brick. But eventually, one rolls around the rim a few times before dropping.
  16. That’s what I’m leaning towards. A more balanced look between the atl and the pac would lead to better results...and during peak climo at that. I’m not worried.
  17. Don’t rile me up like that at d10 but I’ve got a feeling this winter’s story is far from finished.
  18. There’s always the next d10 ‘threat’.
  19. It’s like the atmosphere is making up for those big time +PNA winters.
  20. It’s not a perfect science, true. But this signal has been there, that’s all I care about. Get it to like d5 then I’ll start taking any op run more seriously.
  21. How did Jan69 end in your memory bank?
  22. 70s and tulips probably. I don’t know what’s going on but hopefully we can see some flakes on the 26th.
  23. Sounds like a little reverse Scooter psychology there.
