  1. 60mins with a good piece on the SC issues last night: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/supply-chain-crisis-60-minutes-2021-11-14/
  2. I agree on cutting back with hyper consumerism on fluff items but it’s also a good time to pay for big ticket items if you can, but with cash or no interest payments as consumer buying power is diminishing by the day.
  3. Get used to this. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2021/11/10/big-business-bosses-are-warning-that-supply-chain-issues-and-inflation-are-here-to-stay.html
  4. I despise storms so everyone else can whip it out and stroke it as their homes shake.
  5. Big meh here. A little rumble, a little light flick. Strongest will be SE of us.
  6. As you slosh around in soaked footwear and trampling all over your muddy lawn.
  7. You have a lot of them there. Maybe just enough dryness overnight into tomorrow morning to pound them with your super blower?
  8. Drying out here already. Blue skies to the west. Only a coating of leaves, neighbor has 8-10” with drifts door high.
  9. Don’t get the cheap one size fits all kind either. They fall off too easily. If you can, customize it.
  10. Seriously. I look around and see homes with leaves, sticks, and debris bursting from gutters and I cringe. For a few hundred bucks, it's a piece of mind. Some folks spend money to have them cleaned out fairly regularly too.
  11. Get gutter screens man...screens. Makes life so much easier.
  12. Anyone who does their shopping in Dec and especially the week before Xmas are in for repetitive frustration. My wife has been buying the kids presents (which are usually made in Asia) since Sept. I told her not to wait until ‘deals’. Speaking of which…there may not be as many great deals this season either. Retailers use it to get folks into their store, virtual or brick and mortar, but the thin inventory and lack of backfilling will make some rethink their holiday marketing strategy and not offer the usual discount. It won’t be the case across all product types so there will be deals to be had but folks should be prepared to not expect a normal shopping season…and plan accordingly.
  13. Folks should do their xmas shopping before BF imo. Inventory is at an all time low, depending on product type of course, with demand sky high…BF and the following 3wks will be a zoo with slim pickings. I foresee a record amount of gift cards being exchanged this year instead, signed: “I couldn’t find your gift, get it yourself in the summer.”
  14. Can you put it back in so the flow can slow down?
  15. Dry leaves are optimal to blow or pick up. Nothing worse then a soggy ground with leaves planted firmly which is what Saturday could be. If you haven’t done the initial cleanup before the rains, I’d wait to do it after a few dry days.
  16. My parents came to America with just their shirts on their backs when they were 30. Didn’t know a lick of english. They became homeowners in 10yrs and worked in and around the house non stop…taking care of what they’ve accomplished. My brother and I learned at a young age to work for it, take care of it, and appreciate it. It’s all I know, it’s how I’m built…and I enjoy it.
  17. Does he have the tarp out for them? Lol.
  18. Looks great homie. I actually did some before I left this morning but I’m heading home now to finish the job.
  19. Ha. Like on the 18th green eyeing up a putt with the putter head high looking for the break…
  20. There’s usually not that big of a difference between the shoreline and 84 this time of the year. You’ll typically see the color delayed there compared to here but they look like late summer compared to late fall, here.
