    I know there’s been several “entire months of rain fell in 4hrs” stories this warm season. Could be a function of being better connected by technology and in real time so we hear about local events more often and quickly, but that can’t be the main reason. It’s been really wet overall with a lot of slow moving non tropical cyclones mixed in. Need some data though to back up what my eyes have seen.

    That’s awful. There‘s been a lot of life altering flash floods in this region from slow moving storms this summer. IDK what the data says but it feels anomalous.

    I know but I've heard that often from people who seek anomalous weather events but the data indicates homeowners tend to fight for months, even years, with insurance companies to cover their losses and a good percentage never get back what they lost. That's the issue I have with weenies wanting damage. They'll marvel at it for a few hours and then suffer for years afterwards. That doesn't seem like a situation I ever want to get into.

    6z with a good jog east. With the second shortwave digging into the GL, after the first one drops dews on Thursday that bring the COC, it can only go so far west.
