  1. It's a qpf monster. If we could tick it 1C cooler and flip to snow sooner....oh boy.
  2. Not really, too east for my liking. More shifts to come though.
  3. Feb13 like band setting up at 90hr. CCT curling NE to Portland.
  4. It bumped up here by 4” as well but all those wide right members are interesting.
  5. I couldn’t care less about the post melt. It’s all about the event.
  6. Even that is too high on the edges. Still, none of these solutions lock anything but it would be nice to see the ULL dig deeper so we’re not straddling the invt look before the coastal whips up.
  7. Nothing has been great for this area since last nights euro and uk. We’re in a very precarious spot, as always.
  8. A 4-8” roof collapser is a new phenomenon I have yet to experience. Can’t wait…
  9. That’s an interesting evolution. One we have not seen by the globals or ens I don’t think.
  10. Ha. I think we often get labeled a certain way because how hyper focused we become on tracking snows and how emotional we can get when it doesn’t go our way….some people mistakenly view it the wrong way. Meaning, I don’t think anyone wants snow just to have it…they want it because of all these reasons mentioned, and more. It often doesn’t Come across that way but no one has the time or mental bandwidth, except for Tip, to explain to everyone before each possible event…why do we want it.
  11. Yup. There are many great qualities about it. I like how it quiets things and slows life down.
  12. A big snowstorm is one of the most joyful experiences a weather nut can have. For too many reasons to list but snow in general gives me that youthful exuberance that I’ve had since I remember my first big snowstorm at 3yrs old in Poland. My dad’s fiat stuck in the driveway and my older brother pushing me down the hill on a piece of cardboard. The fact I can still remember that is proof it’s part of my DNA. My kids love it now and I get to go out to enjoy it with them. I’d love for them to experience a 24” that they would remember for a lifetime…continuing this passion and understanding of snow which eventually trickles down to an overall passion for weather/mother nature.
  13. It was the control run, my bad. But still, it shows what could go wrong for us. Always have the caution flags up, especially out here, on big events until we’re snowing…
  14. Yes it can lol but it didn’t get worse. Some GFs solutions show how we can get shafted out here. Caught in between the invt and the developing coastal.
