  1. Ok ok the 1/10 cutter getting pressed to redevelop now.
  2. Look at you sunshine…finding the silver lining.
  3. Yea. It’s just magnified thesedays checking models 4 times of day looking for a sliver of hope.
  4. Dark times for sure. We’ve been through it before and it’s humbling, gives some perspective…appreciate that next event, especially the big one. They just don’t puke from the sky at ease.
  5. Yea. There’s a lot going against us. Reality, voodoo superstition, angry rabid wolves, pics of skinny dudes drinking beers and smoking cigars in hot tubs, country music on repeat…
  6. Non stop country music talk in a Jan thread…yup, the worst winter stretch of our lives is upon us.
  7. Yea. Ive become numb to it. The 80s were bad but without the internet, we weren’t checking models multiple times a day to see when it would turn around. So you just expected suck and was pleasantly surprised when TWC put up an advisory for 2-4”. And If we do manage someday a model to spit out 2-4” at D6, it’s going to be a wild and anxious ride for it to pan out.
  8. After this multi day rainer departs The Next 3 systems give snow weenies the trifecta shaft. Too late, too suppressed, cutter.
  9. I’m optimistic we can snap back like Feb/Mar 13 after the 11/12 ratter. Not sure if the telecons align similarly though…
  10. Until then, enjoy the snowy trails and snowy times in Caribou.
  11. Do not make Wolfie ambush us from his den today please. Lets be safe.
  12. Yes we know there were bad winters even back when the colonizers were colonizing but that doesn’t make the industrial revolution inconsequential.
  13. Yea I’m only giving a perspective from just a couple lenses. We only went in good/great conditions and ideally not during peak traffic days. If it was a weekend with long lines, we usually map out the day to get the most runs in by skiing a low traffic area while the gondola/main peak lifts are backed up. We would ski those high traffic areas real early, lunchtime, and late. It all comes down to value, just imo. I’d rather get a couple less turns in bomb conditions with the entire mtn open then a few more in terrible conditions on a 3/4 closed mtn. Making the drive and committing to the insane costs thesedays, we don’t want to pull up to a NNE mtn that looks/feels like Northern Georgia.
  14. Yes. Exactly the same. For folks down here who make a ski trip to NNE once or twice a year, we’re not doing it for a 1/4 open mountain of sugar coated trails while dodging bare ground and boulders, especially at full price. Locals/season passers, a completely different view. I get that.
  15. You know we’re slowly sliding towards another ratter when us SNE folk are debating NNE resort business decisions.
