0z GFS has put a significant buzzkill on the the snow train Thursday, maybe the para will look better.

Interesting always thought they were related maybe it was because of Joe Bastardi and Elliot Abrams working there? Also their forecast thinking often mirrored the accu guys. 

0z NAM is the best of all worlds with a roughly 6hr thump of snow(for those not in coastal regions) then dryslot followed by light rain or ice.

^ accuweather is Weather World so they are on the same page anyway. 

They also made a bold call for a record warm first half of December

Weather World has snow to mix in the central and northern part of PA with a few inches possible, seriously? Evidently the warminsta borg have assimilated them.

18z GFS is tucked and toasty 

13" snow in November in DC is beyond historic, that's biblical 

18z NAM is plain ridiculous showing 10" to 1" west to east in Monmouth. Wherever i go the gosh darn fence will follow me.

I have to side with the americans as of now based on the ECM performance last winter, it kept going hog wild with snow last winter who knows if it's been tweaked or not.

Surprised nobody mentioned the ECM. Still shows a significant snow event in PA to Philly and 3" in eastern Monmouth here. The americans are mostly rain.

Tucked to coast vs not as tucked.

Hope the para GFS gets it's snow algorithms replaced before it takes over in January.

These tucked solutions won't get it done in November. While somehow they have managed to bring snow to the coast in recent years it's not happening with the still warm waters.

Para GFS keeps crushing PA run after run, not saying it's right but the others keep getting colder.

I am not giving up since 95% of snowstorms the last decade went cold to the coast and shellacked Monmouth County. Nope.

Redsky is basking in the delicious irony of this, been waiting for a good old fashioned November snowstorm since I guess the 80's if not counting the advisory level event in 95. Be watching this in a raincoat as it falls to my west in my old haunts
