  1. That's unpossible DT just got done cancelling November cold due to the change in the Pacific ridge due to previous day model changes lol

  7. 65F Have my eye out for the return of Robins.. Blew the doors off the previous forecasted highs of 61 and 63 * 30F low nice diurnal range
  8. My personal favorite is dark greens and yellows overtop my region for hours resulting in ground truth observations of light snow .25"hr rates, while the light greens in other regions report 2" an hour.
  9. Lots of yellow jackets today, do I have to wait until December to "bee" safe from getting stung?
  10. Dragonfly I consider my pet now it's been around all week it lands on the concrete outside the door regularly. Maybe the covid bio weapon has made bee's cold hardy
  11. 23F! Walked outside and in no more than two minutes had a yellow jacket buzzing me wanting a bite out of my cookie. Also a dragon fly making it's rounds. What is going on?

  13. Uh oh DT calling for an arctic outbreak the second half of November
  14. Not one but two yellow jackets buzzing around me today. Was not expecting that after three straight nights in the mid 20's.
  15. Seeing a snowflake in October is a relatively recent 2009-2011 thing for me and happened once more 6 or 7 years ago, and that's in the cooler high county area. Lower County I only specific remember it in 1979 of course. Normally first flake is mid to late November. Cold is returning next weekend I can envision a first flake on schedule this year.
  16. 25F again It just wants to be cold now...this airmass was nowhere to be seen on the long range outlooks for November a couple weeks ago. Does seem like a large pattern change is in motion from the endless warmth since June.
  17. Dude it's the long range GFS. The only months it doesn't see polar vortex intrusions happening are June-August
  18. Color me skeptical of the Farmer's Almanac call for a -5F November and -4F December
  19. Word on the street is it's a bust, sigh of relief
  20. Some sources are claiming the best chance to see the aurora at this latitude we ever had tonight., meanwhile overcast skies highly likely
  21. These are tropical storm force winds. Lost a canopy top and got word a nearby resident is losing their roof. No high wind warning?
