It's friggin cold outside for November I find it interesting how this cold is far over performing.

12z euro came significantly close to a snowstorm next Monday. The cold is there.

Mixed signals for the winter is how I see it. It's been dry since the hurricane flood in early September that's not good. But it's a cold November and that pattern is really locked in going forward into December with cold delivery from Canada. Analogs for warm October - cold November have led to good winters.

Three days ago I was certain the weekend cold doomed the remaining insect population. Nope. One yellow jacket and....and my dragonfly returned

My pet dragonfly I named him Drachen. Winter's coming however.

One yellow jacket and my pet red dragonfly landed next-door to me on the concrete, rather incredible. Confident the yellow jackets will be gone by Christmas with that 30 day outlook, but feel bad for the dragonfly

Tell you what at daybreak it's going to look like it snowed here the grass is soaked now. Most people will look outside and say hey we had snow.

Tonight A chance of rain and snow before 1am, then a slight chance of snow after 5am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 32. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. Currently not frozen

I got a chuckle at him saying it will be among the coldest, snowiest of 20 of the last 30 winters. That covers a lot of bases.
