Still have time for some wave in the lightning fast shred factory polar vortex to pull something off the last week of the month that will show up with short lead time. Not impossible the second GFS wave on Sunday surprises.

To all that wish there was a time machine so they could experience the 80's and have big hair, this GFS run is for you. Single digit snow month with frequent bone chilling arctic air masses. Only exception is Ralph's clipper, that would be 1-2" of snow not rain

Yes it does this winter blows. It blows cold air. On the 0z ECM despite the pretty graphics of the OP there were two ensemble camps half were an out to sea scraper like all other guidance.

Ice is a disaster here. Driveway is a .75" of snow ice tile that when scraped away leaves a super slick teflon like coating of ice.

Time to place your bets on the 12z ECM total how much snow for Philly through day 10. It's been oscillating from zero to eighteen inches each run for at least a week.

The next storm is being kicked to the storm after that Jan 24-26th * which also happens to be the GFS clipper

1" of slush white ground left that will freeze into plaster and bone breaking iced spots on concrete and blacktop

I know computer guidance creating big storms in the long range and deleting them is a winter staple, but I have never seen this many big storms day 5.5 to 7.5 come and go this is ridiculous
