  1. Down to below 10 (9F) here in Ross now. Was 31 when I woke up at 6:40am.
  2. If this is all the snow we get, it's definitely not a grey Christmas in my book. I'm happy. The wind has been brutal all morning. Definitely the highest wind I can remember in my time here (~10 years).
  3. TWC and NWS have us down to <1" now - I said I'd be happy with 1-2" on the ground when the cold came way back on page 9.... that looks like a fool's hope now.
  4. I'll go back to my original comment. White Christmas with an inch or two on the ground, anything after that is gravy.
  5. Fwiw, Wunderground seems to heavily favor the euro given it’s down to less than an inch with little precipitation on Friday.
  6. Around a surprise inch on the ground this morning. Enough to cover most of the grass.
  7. A looooot of doom and gloom in here for a chance of 3"+ of snow on the ground for Christmas.
  8. I seem to remember we want west at this point historically, but its all house money as long as there is snow on the ground on Christmas.
  9. Anywhere 2"+ with that cold will give a White Christmas. Good enough for me.
  10. Is that the one where everyone got 6-7" except the one guy who got 3" in his backyard and it ruined his winter?
  11. Seems we skipped right over window-open weather with Mid 80's on 9/20 then crashing afterwards. Interesting switch this year.
  12. Quite a wonderful stretch we're having. I'd prefer upper 60's/low 70's so I could air the house out a bit more, but this is really nice.
  13. Quite a storm system this morning north of the city.
  14. I thought you were south of the city where the snow hole was last winter? North Pgh and I's readings are almost always consistent. Not trying to antagonize, just looking for a data point.
  15. Rain rate of 5.4"/hr. Heaviest rate I've had since moving here in 2012.
  16. High 60’s with sun and low 50’s for the night are what I could live with all season long.
  17. Measured 8.5" here in Ross before the sun came out. I'd give this winter a B- overall with C being average. Now onto the spring thread starting Monday. Let's go thunderstorms!
  18. I’m quite happy to have a smaller chance (but not no chance) at gigantic winter storms for not having the hellacious heat in the summer. The only better place for the combination is north of the I-80 snow belt in NWPA, but it has many other drawbacks even if the weather is going for it.
