  1. What about for the area in which you actually live? How does it look for that LOL?
  2. Well good luck to all. I’ll settle for some really thick clouds and some snow. If it’s dark and gray outside I’ll be very happy.
  3. You are correct. And I’m not trying to be a deb. I’m just like a kid with snow and get more excited from a good trend than anything else.
  4. GFS has had plenty of cutters in the medium range this year that ended up not being that. Think we will see changes if not to the path of the storm then with the cold east of the mountains turning it into a significant winter event.
  5. The Chill storm was a cutter into Ky. Not the same at all IMO.
  6. I just like seeing things trend better. If I started at 3 days out modeled with 0.1” of precip and then by game time it had trended to 0.25”, I’d be excited over that. Everyone is different and that’s ok. I am just tired of the drier trend every single time.
  7. Well to be fair, in about 10 days the sun angle goes above 40. That’s 13 degrees higher than in December. That matters. At first it matters more in hard surfaces. As we go on, it matters everywhere. Temps in the 20’s does offset that some, but when you have snow and are 30 or up you see a huge difference. Problem won’t be evident with this storm though. If we have an issue this time it’s gonna be light precip.
  8. That map is just silly for my area. Not seeing me getting nearly 10” of snow on about 0.6 precip
  9. Hate to say it, but Ji is right. Never does a storm trend in our favor.
  10. Proposal: people take pics of their snow measurements. With a ruler. People will post pics of their dogs, back yard, decks, sunset, beer, food and just about anything else you can think of, but how many snow measurement pics do you see? I did for years but haven’t lately basically because it hasn’t snowed much. I plan to post with every measurement from now on.
  11. The NAM’s have literally been all over the place
  12. So just sliding out and no north movement. When I looked at the gfs and ICON I thought I detected a little north movement to the system on Friday.
  13. I know the euro doesn’t go far enough out but what would extrapolate for Friday based upon its look at 90?
  14. Now that looks more reasonable. Not amounts but position.
  15. Look near the Va border on your map and then on the WB map.
  16. Ok there’s a major disconnect between the maps being posted here.
  17. That would certainly appear to be a major move south. Euro has been too far south a bunch of times this winter.
  18. That Feb 2010 is interesting. We never came close to seeing grass here that year. Guess it had to do with us getting a better snow on Jan 31
  19. That looks way south. I see places in Ky near a foot of snow where 12z showed nothing there
  20. Gonna be close but I suspect it’s gonna go just north of us
