  1. Watching Germany vs France in handball from 2019. I am fairly certain that any NBA basketball team could beat either of these teams with little to no practice.
  2. ESPN2's primetime Sunday night programming has China's Grand Prix racing.. which is apparently open.. hmmm
  3. How many passing TDs did lamar have last year?
  4. Hopefully they open the horseshoe casino May 15th
  5. For a 3-week period in California in 2018, their overall death rate rose by 25%, killing approximately 4,500 people.. At the same time California had a major flu outbreak. This went on for several weeks after that year. How is it that this happened and no one even knew it was going on? 2016: 2018:
  6. And I don't want to hear the crap about how if Public Transportation is closed down, then people cannot eat, work, function normally... tell that to the small business owners throughout America whose lives have been obliterated.
  7. I see talk about NYC subways still being open. This is just proof that the lockdowns are publicity stunts. If NY was serious about this they would have closed busses and subways first.. How is it that you can take a city bus to McDonalds.. but you cannot sit down and eat.. what sense does that make?
  8. Something like the masters would never happen. And the reason is every major MSM news outlet in America would fly an entire crew to Atlanta... put them up in hotels.. to report on how the PGA is putting lives in danger by flying their golfers into town and putting them in hotels.
  9. Ravens opening day.. as scheduled.. no more, no less
  10. Just so you know.. when people start dying there this week.. they are hospice center.
  11. Probably whole sh$t ton more than that given the Santa Clara numbers
  12. I dont understand the Jaws reference.. going for a Jog down in Canton.. some nice site seeing .. I will check back in later!
  13. I dont understand the no chair rule.. if people were sitting it would be easier to maintain 6 feet. When you are moving around accidents happen..
  14. he also said that a person went to bartmiztva didnt know he was sick.. wound up infecting 120 other people and many of them died. #contacttracing
  15. Every time I see a big Nursing Home outbreak and resulting deaths.. I go to there website.. every time.. the first thing that is advertised on their homepage is hospice care... it never fails Thing about that for a minute.
  16. its not a dilemma.. they know the primary cause.. my grandmother died of congestive heart failure last year.. I am sure she had the flu, pneumonia and whatever invaded during the hospice phase. It is just the way it works.
  17. The way to avoid that would be for JHU to use the Social Security number as the primary key in their data set.. or maybe a combination of birthdate, first, last name and zipcode. They may have that already.. but when i was looking at their github.. it seems that they were only counting total number of deaths reported each day.. I could be wrong.. feel free to correct me if so
  18. Yeah I agree.. my comment about them being double counted is this: I could see a possible scenario where someone dies of Pneumonia and their death is reported by the hospital as probable covid 19.. on that day a sample is taken and 2 weeks later it comes back positive... and someone else reports it as covid19.. and it is counted again.. and then finally the the death certificate is certified and in an effort to find more deaths.. another reporting agency combs though the death certificates and finds the same death. It is again reported.
  19. I worry that they are being double counted in some cases.
  20. 2017 - 2018 was worse than this in California and Florida
  21. The two graphics are from 2015-2016 (weeks 1-3) and 2017-2018 (weeks 1-3). As I said previously, deaths don't lie. The numbers indicate: Roughy a 20-25% increase in overall deaths during years with a severe flu outbreak. 67, 495 deaths Week two in 2017-2018 vs 55,525 week two 2015 - 2016. This is a 12,000 death increase This a huge anomaly that cannot be ignored. In 2018, only 5000 of the approximate 12,000 increase deaths (per week) were actually attributed to the flu but an additional 5,000 - 7,000 people per week were dying (this is US data). Why does this mean? I think the answer may be very simple. The data below is based on death certificates from the states. It seems that during a severe flu outbreak, many deaths are attributed to other factors (like natural causes or other end of life co-morbidities). But in reality, the straw that broke the camels back (as we are seeing with the Corona Virus today) is the flu and resulting pneumonia. This makes sense because viruses are opportunistic and will invade susceptible hosts at end of life. 2015 - 2016 2017 - 2018 What does this tell us about the numbers we are seeing today? Well it depends on how you look at it. We have social distancing which prevents us from seeing the true toll Corona Virus would take if preventative measure were not taken. But I think if you look just a little bit deeper.. right under the surface, what you find is that if you look for a Virus, you will find it. In 2017 - 2018, if the flu that year was a media sensation (like it is this year), if every singe person who died would be tested for the flu. Based on the 12,000 increase in death, they would probably find (at minimum) an additional 4000 - 6000 people that could be attributed to the flu. Now, if compared to today.. you may say this is nothing.. 7,000 people died in New York in one Calendar month. Not so fast.. My follow up post will show you something that is even more eye opening.. in 2017-2018, the vast majority of the deaths were in two hotspots: Florida and California Welcome to a new day of the American weather corona virus statistical rabbit hole I am going fishing with my son.. I will post the follow up when I come back.. and I am sure that many of you will not read it because it is from me!
  22. Do you know why Trevor said the he would be "skeptical" of the results?
  23. its in jeopardy. We are slipping
  24. Okay good.. so I just heard a new Fauci commercial.. and it is indicative of a policy change. He is telling people "if you think you have Corona Virus, dont go to the ER, dont call 911, call a Doctor and tell them what is going" This actually makes a lot of sense. I think that one of the big concerns with the medical system being over stressed is that a lot of people are dumb.. and they will show up to the ER for a cold..
