Only managed 24º today and down to 17º. I just want snow, please, weather gods, just some straight up snow.

As someone who lives in the northern tier of LOT counties, I agree.

I'm in McHenry. Maybe we were far enough north that we got more sleet than freezing rain so the freezing rain we got melted more easily. Not sure, but there really isn't much out there.

That's interesting because we don't have any ice on the trees around us.

And that's been the story of the past several winters. On the bright side about all the sleet we got, it melts much slower than snow. lol

As RC stated above, sleet is not going to end up being the primary p-type in most places, a brief transition between snow and zr.
