Not a good run for mby. that 1.5 inches would be lucky to get a decent ground cover if it verifies. Central Virginia looking good.

It's not, but what follows a couple days behind that is what I'm interested in

18 z RGEM has the Wake county gradient so should we assume that it is correct?
It is worth noting that there has been a small northward shift in some of the models. Hopefully it will stop.

Good point. The 18z NAM looked pretty good actually so that is encouraging.

Sorry, thanks Buckeye fan!

Thanks Programer. RDU still in the game there but not a perfect situation trend wise. It’s getting late in the game. Not sure if this gives more than 0.5-0.8 inches in reality if this is taken literally at RDU if we are looking at 6:1 with melting considered. At least I live 4-5 miles northeast of the airport so I have that working in my favor.

Hopefully it was just a wobble. Can someone post the 18 z European output?

GFS has big snowstorm at end of run for RDU.

Good point but what is the fun in that?

12z GFS still has a potential rain to accumulating snow scenario for northern NC/southern Virginia for late next week.

No last Jan I was put out of service for a derailment in Greensboro (Pomona) off Oakland Ave by Coliseum. We get paid “Hit n Run insurance if we’re put out of Service until our case goes before union board 9-12 months later. Covid happened in March last year and step Kids were at Home for School and My now Wife just finished School and we decided it was best for me to stay with them and her work and me find something else to do. I would go back but they were bought out by Hunter Harrison and they’ve sliced 100 jobs or so and shut our “Hump Terminal” (Linwood) down so my seniority went in the tank. I went from having a Cushy Lynchburg Pool job (Mostly 4-6hr days and UPS/FedEx Intermodal trains that have priority Step on In Linwood take it from Atlanta Crew and go to Lynchburg and step off give it to Hagerstown crew) to the extra board where they can call you 24/7 for literally anything. .... so I quit. Now I’m about to finish real estate school lol
Hang in there Justin!

1032 hp but slightly more favorable position.
I guess a -NAO is overrated .

Shall I do the honors sir!

Canadian a touch south compared to last run. It’s in line with GFS. Much of the forum would prefer HP to strengthen a tad to get a bit more suppression. Something to watch.

I think the ice mostly stays north of 64 with the worst of it north of 85.
Basically about where you are but worse a little north.

That may even work for Grayman.

I’m assuming you’re not talking Wake because that happens a bunch. I’m 600 yards from Durham county btw.

FZ is fun while it's happening, but when it ends and no power for more than a week, that includes most places to get a warm meal. Been through it had my life experience i'm good with plain rain
I agree. A sleet storm would have been cool ,but not freezing rain.

Gfs v16 sniffed out the late January snow before any other model. Just saying....
