    He was burned by the 24 hour major snowstorm to freezing rain Euro flip last week right about this time actually so he’s probably just waiting for this period to pass until it’s safe. I am too lol .

    I’m not going to mention the end of the NAM run because it’s hour 81 but I’m also not not going to mention it .

    Yeah, I don’t think anyone in the Carolinas or NE and eastern Georgia is out of this yet. We’re still 3 1/2 days away. It’s going to feel like a lifetime too. .

    I think all I can say with any confidence is at least measurable snow has become more likely for most of North Carolina. If you take the runs both the deterministic and the ensembles, and yes, AI has a seat at the table now too I suppose, I think miserable snow has become more likely for a good portion of the state. Still have to iron out the details and there are a lot of details still, but that seems to be a growing model consensus and even an increasing confidence from local Mets, etc. .

    Honestly, more in line with some other guidance that time and stops the trend the other way. I’ll take it. .

    There was a little bit less moisture, but yeah, it wasn’t much difference overall to be honest good point .

    The 12z will be a better run than the 6z, at least for Western North Carolina .

    Euro AI definitely still gives us some snow but yeah she’s trending east. No big surprise if you lived in the Piedmont Triad, the last number of years. I do hope the coast can score! .

    GFS loves to throw out a ridiculous clown map four days out to then get embarrassed by the other models. Literally did it last week. Let’s hope GFS going for redemption, but remained doubtful. .
