Looking fwd to tracking possibly the best setup yet for repeated days of really moist flow and convection starting Wednesday.  Hopefully score a couple flush storm hits imby . It's been a pretty abysmal summer for solid t+l storm hits and could use more rain here. Those with 15-22 inches of qpf the past month ignore this post

Those 15 inches of rain were pretty boring. Not a lot of thunder this summer from what I can remember.

Sorry for the dumb question, but is there a site I can go get the radar images from yesterday? I'm sure there is, but my google-fu is failing me.

I want to see wtf came through and exactly how close I was to it.

    Super curious.

Not sure About that, but you might find a few screenshots a few pages back on here.

I suspect this winter will have twice as much snow if not more than last winter, despite an unfavorable ENSO. Last winter was a special one.

Hope so down here in central virginia where we had... at most 0.8inches where I am? Couldn’t take measurements because it was gone before I could get home both times.

There’d need to be a pretty anomalous air mass for snow in September even in the highlands. First flakes here have been in October the last two seasons although I’m sure Snowshoe and Canaan might be a few weeks earlier.

Snowshoe is pretty much in October if I remember correctly the past two seasons. Was also just messing around, but should have clarified.

Here is the system here crashing into extreme northeastern NC Virginia Beach 938-945 mb then to a position over Cheasepeak Bay at 964 mb then to the Eastern Great Lakes.  Do I think its overdone maybe but we shall see.

I miss that blue stuff in the top left corner...
Back on topic though, This will be interesting to watch, the Parallel really wants this to happen.

Another thing that makes me hate Sandy is the way it affected Halloween. The storm hit and cancelled almost all Halloween plans, trick or treating for kids, haunted houses, parties, ect for most of the east coast and even out here in Ohio.

Ever since then, if it so much as drizzles on Halloween, some cities "cancel" it. Sandy started that crap. 2012. CRAP year.

It gave the mountains in West Virginia nearly 3 feet of snow... ruined it in the best way possible for the people there...

But Florida is obviously still in play. Who would have thought Texas would be in play with Laura based on this run only 6 days ago?

Us being humans, we definitely would automatically assume the closest is the most in danger. It isn’t until you study a bit, and think about it, that you realize that we don’t have the slightest clue where that thing is going until at least 3 days before.
