Trying to catch up--- NAM stinks, no NAM is good, it is drying up, no models have held serve. GFS is going to screw us. . . maybe not. 3 inches of. . .snow? sleet? This is not a hobby for the faint of heart
Quick question-- is this a miller A? Or maybe a miller A/B? I know we haven't had a classic Miller A for some time. . .
still no cloud cover. . . 25/18.8
Yes. It is pouring snow right now in Crownsville, but if I drove 4 miles south (maybe less even) I think I would hit that cold rain. I hope it turns white for you guys down there before the night is out
Still snowing in Crownsville. . . about three inches to start, then ice, now maybe two more. . not entirely sure what we did to deserve this, but, whatever it was, I would gladly do it again!
still snowing steadily. A bit harder than flurrying. . well, heck, I would call it plain snowing. Super nice. . . Maybe an inch and change since around 6:00 pm
according to the radar (a terrible, free radar app, to be honest) it is supposed to be snowing outside of my house. But it is doing well, nothing. . . maybe a fine rain/mist?
freezing rain more than a little. . spent the morning saving some of my bushes and small trees around the yard by wacking the ice off with an old long pole.
REALLY hoping that we flip to snow. . .
still snowing here. . . albeit gently. . .I don't hate that. And it looks like it will continue for a while. So, here's hoping that the low stays tucked in and goes NNE and instead of ENE. . . Thanks for everyone here for giving me something that makes me look like I know what I am talking about to my family and friends.
radar suggests that precip is coming up more from the South than from the Southwest, as it had been all day here in AA County. I am sure that someone will rain on my parade (maybe literally) but to my novice eyes, I think this is a good thing? We have never really dry slotted here. . . though the rates have been low. . .still, almost to 4 inches here.
Being east of the DC against the Bay, I am hoping that what ever banding occurs, that we might be in a better spot to benefit? Thoughts anyone? I am a teacher who actually teaches actual kids in an actual classroom, so a snow day would still be an actual snow day for us!
I truly don't know much more about weather than what I read on these boards. . . but I know how to read a room. . . the euphoria that I saw late morning and in the afternoon has, well, virga'ed away? Really?
