Great day for a hike, even a few mid 40's popping up. can't beat this wx in the dead of winter.

Tomorrows another AN stunner, nice seeing the sun higher in the sky too Almost a repeat of today but slightly less wind. Model soundings suggest boundary layer mixing up to about 925 mb and with temps around -2C at this level, expect highs in the low 40s, upper 30s high terrain. Sunshine and light NNW winds will provide tranquil conditions.

mid-winter is Christmas through Jan 25th to me. Just like mid summer is through July 25th, after that you can see and feel the changes.

mid-winter is kaput in a couple weeks and the sun angle really rips after Jan 25th or so. Hopefully like last winter where the locked up "great pattern" never materialized. Great vibes all-around today
