    Moved to LI (NW Nassau) from DC area 18 months ago, hoping I’d get a bit more snow. Last year wasn’t great! Fingers crossed for this. One thing that’s interesting to me is that down there I would have seen a 20 mi difference as more or less unpredictable, but everything clearly shows quite a diff between North Shore and South Shore on LI that I suppose is relatively common?

    Anyone else losing cell service? Power is out, but cell data is usually usable here. Now it’s only working very occasionally.

    More rain than I was expecting here in NW Nassau. I’m glad about that because it’ll weigh down the huge planters I couldn’t move. We already lost a large tree limb that broke only a fence (thank goodness). Unbelievably we still have power.

    Lol already back on. Nearly gave me a heart attack there, PSEG. A good reminder to get my cooler ready early, though.

    We just lost power (NW Nassau). Already?! PSEG says estimated restoration is 8 PM tonight. Don’t exactly see crews out at that moment! Hope they use this respite to get it together so I don’t lose all the food in the fridge.

    Snow is lighter than it was in NW Nassau, everything is gorgeous and white, approaching .5” on the ground. My kids are trying to sled, poor things.

    Just moved here from DC area, hoping for a bit more snow than I've been used to! About 1.5" here and very pretty light/moderate flakes still falling, north shore western Nassau.
