    @stormtracker I know you are a big Beethoven fan. If classical is your thing Brahms #2 is at the Kennedy center tomorrow morning. One of the most melodically beautiful symphonies you will ever hear. You should go check it out. I will be there.

    First blizzard warning for SOCAL in history according to the LA Times. I dont know man. This winter is by far the worst of my lifetime. And I am old. A cold and rainy spring would just be icing on the cake as it prevents me from even getting my garden going early. Frustration level is very high.

    The lower heights over the Aleutians is my guess as to what saved us? Brings the source air directly from the Arctic. You are far more educated about this stuff than I am. But that is just my guess.

    Hopefully it doesnt rot before you actually need it 6 or 7 years from now. With the models showing basically no cold air to speak of. You wont be needing it this year.

    6Z GFS has surface temps below freezing here for a total of 18 hours in the entire run. In February. Unheard of.

    Thats some pretty serious cold dropping into the country on the long range GFS. -20's into MT and -30's across the border in early March? Hopefully it doesnt progress east.

    They need it though. Will get their reservoirs refilled and also the mountain runoff will be replenished.

    The phase doesnt really matter when there is very little amplitude anyways. This winter is over. Not like ever started.

    I kept telling him how much more snow he would get there instead of when he was in Stephens City. It has been abysmal since he move there.

    As of today Las Vegas has more snow than DCA on the season. #WeSuckAtWinter Ahahahahahaha! When Vegas gets a heavier snow shower than Winchester has seen all season.

    81 was a mess early this morning. Had to be in Staunton by 7:00. Left Winchester at 5. Saw at least 6 wrecks in that 90 mile stretch. Black ice is nasty.

    Exactly. Philly fans have to infect everything. Even weather boards. I cannot stand anything about that cesspool city. Well except the invention of the cheese steak. And even that ruined my body with fatness. Anyways. 0Z NAM brings some pity flakes to the Winchester area at the end. This winter is utter trash.

    What snow? RGEM is worse. We have model agreement that this event sucks.

    The NAM caved horribly. Not that the NAM really matters. But its over. Just spent the past half hour looking at 5 day lead times on the models and added up the amount of snow Winchester would have if ANY of them were right. In the past 6 weeks at day 5 on the models Winchester has 49 inches of snow accumulation......The models are a clownshow. Just like this winter.

    RGEM slightly warmer than the NAM and comes in with a little freezing rain before the flip to 33 and rain. Miserable.
