At least this will be one of those storms where we should flip back to snow after the low passes and the winds shift. With a low running to our NW, we get some snow from the CAD before flipping for good. Here we should go snow-rain-snow. Hopefully all snow or minimal rain.

Like the 6z EPS, this was a slightly colder run for the Beltway crew. I like that trend.

Agreed. Was just about to post this. Let’s see how it affects things. Can’t imagine it’s a bad thing.

It will be a nuke for the interior and the Beltway and SE folks (myself included) will fret over a 6 mile shift in the r/s line and zoom in on soundings even though we are 4 days out.

Yeah. Pretty similar to 12z. Maybe a drop warmer? Still very close to a monster for DC though. All in all a very good 0z suite.

HP stronger than at 12z.

Right. Euro has been the warmest of the models so far. GFS and CMC have shown all snow for DC. Euro has had more mixing and temp issues.

I’m kind of dreading the 0z runs to be honest. Nowhere to go but down.

18z EPS is a little concerning IMBY. North and west looking good but we have no wiggle room in the beltway.

I wouldn’t trust the map depictions. GEFS is a solid hit. Looks improved from 12z.

Rain/snow line running right next to my house but I am just on the correct side of it. Good enough for me. Congrats to N and W.

GFS is a close shave for DC metro but looks nice for the interior. I hate living in the beltway.

No significant changes thru 90 on GFS. Maybe the HP is a touch weaker but probably noise.

Euro was the worst of the 12z suite for DC as far as temps are concerned and still gave a good thump.

DC metro walking the line as always.

12z EPS looks slightly better than 0z for DC metro to my untrained eye.

On the one hand we are still 5 days away. On the other hand, the big ones are sniffed out early.

I dont think it works that way. Seems like an honest mistake though and not trolling. Man are we ever on edge here!
