  1. WWA taken down for most of ri. What’s up with that?
  2. I’m gona hold you to that. If I get anything less it will be your fault. And your shoulder I cry on
  3. Lol pain is my prediction too. With so much uncertainty and lack of concensus I have to go with previous trends this winter, less snow and more rain than predicted. Although you are right about the conservative forecasts. It’s really only on this forum that I see people speaking of bigger potential (8+). Everyone else seems to be keeping totals pretty small. I don’t have a strong understand of the models, but from what I recall the nam hasn’t been the worst predictor this season. Correct me if I’m wrong. And thanks a bunch for the input.
  4. Cool. That’s more than decent relative to my 2.5” max this season
  5. What do y’all think about Newport, RI tomorrow? Crushed or nah?
  6. I appreciate your opinion, thank you. I think you’re probably right and it’ll be a pretty easy drive home. Now the question is do I want to miss the biggest storm of the year? And how good will it be? I have no answer for that at the moment. 12 inches is worth being home for. I’m ok with missing 6 inches.
  7. Anyone have any advice on traveling? I’m at a conference in Portland that’s supposed to go until tomorrow. Would it be ridiculous to try to drive back to Rhode Island around 4pm tomorrow?
  8. Haven’t checked the greenhouse weather station yet but I’d say gusts of 50+ so far in Exeter, RI. Snowing pretty heavy with about 1/2 mile vis, but sunny skies can be seen to the ENE when it lightens. Pretty cool sight. One gust brought in a giant plume of flakes from about. Somewhat like a downburst. As I finish typing this the snow has all but stopped and it is sunny again.
  9. Getting smoked atm. 1/4 mile or less vis. Gusts are hitting 40+. Might be a little more than 2” on sidewalks.
  10. I’m not mehing this storm or calling bust. Just saying that it appears my area is not going to get expected totals. Other people will score and this is an awesome storm.
  11. Been thinking the same thing. I’m expecting the lower end of forecasted snow totals because growth is really struggling.
  12. Yeah I saw that on Wunderground. So close. We had a nice burst down here earlier, but it didn’t pile up on wet, warm ground.
  13. Looks like 3”+ on cars, but a wet 1.5-2” on sidewalks from window observations. Currently 33F and a high of 34 today. I’d imagine that’s not going to help the poor accumulation rates. Vis under 1/2 mile. So far not the most impressive this season by a long shot. Still thoroughly enjoying it though.
  14. Little over 1/2” otg. When I got up at 3 it had just begun to flip down here.
  15. What’s the timing on this? I’m supposed to be coming back to RI from Woodstock, NY on Tuesday. But now I’m thinking of taking a rain check on the whole trip.
