  1. Sorry - meant to comment.... This is such a sham by RAH NWS! Like, lets put up an uncertainly oval.. what a cop out.
  2. this moisture in upstate SC will have ZEROOOOOOOO affect on the storm this weekend
  3. Looking for what you are seeing... I dont see any change at 850 or surface really.....
  4. RDU - 4inches / .25 FRZ Rain / dusting CLT - 1 inch / .25inch sleet GSO - 8inch / .15 FRZ rain count it
  5. Well. That’s why they are callled clown maps. Lol.
  6. CLT will not be getting 12-18.
  7. I will still put a $10 bill on the table and confidently say: This is sleet and frz rain Meck to Wake county. Snow totals of magnitude confined to W and NW NC. CLT and RAH will see snow, but sharing an FV3 map is as weenie as it comes. 60%sleet/30%frz rain/10%snow CLT and Rah.
  8. I dont agree the NAM is trending south... here is the latest NAM and I feel its been like this several runs
  9. GFS and Euro ENS side by side. They have been fairly locked in for 48hours now. Then you have the NAM, which is north, leaves RDU to CLT with rain mostly. If the NAM didn't do so well last year then Id be planning on sunday sledding routines right now here in Raleigh.
  10. Been saying it all week. This is an ice storm. Not a snow storm.
  11. Out of all the maps I’ve seen this week. This is the biggest weenie clown map so far. Like come on WRAL - what is this garbage?!
  12. GSP busting big on this one. CLT is not getting a foot. It’s Thursday and 12in on Sunday/Monday is being tossed around ?!?
  13. I think I speak for the wx gods when I say, CAE is frz rain and sleet at best. No snow.
  14. This is an ice storm. Not a snow storm.
  15. I think we all need to take a few deep breaths. We are close. But this is the same thread different year. Only difference, we aren't in late jan, we are in early Dec. If I may, I would like to play devils advocate here. Let's do the say it outloud test. "Model are showing widespread 10-20inches across NC in early december" - We know how this plays out with moisture robbing, warm noses, etc. It doesn't end pretty boys.
  16. Yes, 2004. Thunder snow. I got 18in in CLT. The finest powder I have ever seen in my life falling from the heavens. It was UNREAL! http://www.dnr.sc.gov/climate/sco/Publications/winter_Feb25_27_2004.php
