I do look pretty locked in right now so I guess based on recent model performance I should be worried. 

Still have two events before I have time to pay attention to anything here.

Going to end up with 1-2” from tonight’s pixie dust event. Fun week ahead with lots of small stat padding events on the horizon, and maybe something bigger? 

State DNR releases their own snowpack map for the state weekly. 

2019 Precipitation and Snowfall for Minneapolis. Wettest year on record for the Twin Cities. 

Just had a couple minutes of flurries here. No shutout in the Twin Cities.

Good to come back to the states with something to track in the subforum. 

Not in the country atm but appears 4.9” officially in Minneapolis. Snow depth had dwindled to 2” before the storm. 

Beavis if you want a good mix of economic opportunity and winter weather may I suggest Minneapolis. Sure we get occasional torches and only average 50-55” annually, but growing up in Chicagoland I’ve noticed a stark difference with the cold and staying power of snow up here. Sun angle makes a big difference, a lot less melt off on a 40 degree day here then in Chicago. Oh and the lakes solidly freeze up every year even in the cities. 

BTW my house is about 10 miles south of the 45N parallel. 

-8F this morning. Much colder outside the metro where -10 to -20 are widespread. 

Another quick hitter late this morning dropped nearly an inch. This nickel and dime pattern we’ve been in lately has been great!!!

-8F here this morning. UHI kept us a bit warmer then surrounding areas. 1-3” of snow overnight should make for a fun rush hour tomorrow morning.

November 25th the total seasonal snow in Minneapolis was 1.6". 

In the two weeks since then we are at 18.4"

Recorded 2.5" of snow with the system IMBY yesterday, snowdepth is ~7" Duluth which received 22" in the blizzard last week picked up another 6.5

Todays high of 7 with biting winds really made it feel like the first deep winter day around here. Already at -3F right now, should crack double digits by dawn. 

Looks pretty chilly up here the middle of next week. Transient cold however.

Surprised me too. Annual average is only 30.64” I guess we are just far NW enough to have less GoM influence. International Falls only averages 24.26” annually.

Storm total 9.2” 

Also to note 2019 is now official the wettest year on record in Minneapolis with 40.81” of precipitation besting 40.32” in 2016. 

8.3” officially at the airport.

Storm is winding down here. The bottom inch or two on paved surfaces is very wet. Probably similar to what others in the sub-forum experienced in the storms earlier this month. Pavement temperatures must still be fairly warm because I shoveled over 8” off my wood deck but only 5” off my driveway. Maybe some compaction too.

Crazy, it’s only for this upcoming storm. You’ll cash in this weekend as well I assume. 

Tomorrow will be a very interesting travel day. I don’t have work but do have a work mandated physical at 7:45am which will be fun. Photos to come.

Flurries in downtown Minneapolis. 3-4 hours ahead of schedule. Guess the dry air was overdone on the models.
