Just over 3" and starting to ping.
-
Just under an inch in about half an hour. Wind was, and continues, to roar. Part of UMass is without power. Between last night and this just about 6". About 22" for the season.
-
Finished up with just over 5". Really surprised given how bad snow growth was.

Onset seems way behind schedule..
But way ahead in VT. SVT ski areas had an inch of snow by midday.

What an ass. Jiminy's FB account is wild today.

Should I be worried about sleet here at Killington tomorrow now? Really don’t want pellets hitting me in the face. That seems crazy but that warm layer keeps trending north every run. Starting to wonder if I should have gone further north to Bush Stowe or Smuggs.
It's possible but just for avoiding crowds I'd hit Mount Ellen at Sugarbush. Cover all bases lol

So....the GFS got a win?

GFS and CMC pretty dang similar when comparing snowfall
CMC looks identical to Box's map.

Inches and inches...of sleet.

Given the rarity of being able to do it, we will be skinning and skiing in the Holyoke Range this Sun-Mon. Did a lot of work this summer and found some amazing lines with a consistent 400-700 feet of vertical.

I'd be stunned if you got much frz rain.
Yes. It is always seems overdone at first and then hours before they settle it down to .01 - .10 of accumulation.

Some of the worst black ice I have ever encountered on the drive home from hockey tonight. Roads were a rink too. At least in snow you are going slow. Going to be a lot of accidents in the valley. Our hill is still in fog and at 33*.

Yeah from a couple days ago there to yesterday's runs there was definitely a decrease. Remember those runs started like 4 days ago with 1-2 feet widespread. Now it's morphed a bit more into an orographic event.
But I get that no one wants to hear it..makes it difficult to even discuss pros and cons sometimes. Anything perceived negative gets violently rebuked lol.
I'm thinking it backs into the Champlain Valley and west more than expected. Places like MRG and Pico could beat out their next door neighbors.

2-3" inches here round one overnight. Actually came down pretty decent at times looking at my cam. See how round 2 unfolds
Glad to know the ski areas are not BS'ing.

Radar got me excited so I got out of bed....A dusting and 24.5*.

The 3km and HRRR look like the higher terrain of NW CT to the VT Spine suck all the moisture out of it.

Thanks NoPoles. I knew some of that. They did post a few pics of snow guns at the bottom. They lost all of Dec when we had 30" of snow in the area and then lost Christmas ski week. I would have thought this would have been planned out since they got the lifts going right at the end of last ski season.
Yes, it is bizzaro-world with them. $75 tickets or a $389 season pass lol
The website will also give you motion sickness on some pages. https://www.skitenney.com/

Got up and looked outside, nadda. Five minutes later a nice white coating.

Burlington just upped things. Definitely heading to Magic tomorrow.

Jay Peak claiming they only lost 10 trails and are "expecting a foot by tomorrow morning". Jay's reporting is the worst but this winter it wouldn't surprise me if they did get 12" tonight.

What a drop. 49* at 8am, 37* now.

Awful snow growth. There was a 5-10 minute span prior to mixing I saw some actual flakes.
