  1. As much as it is a beautiful sight on radar I hope folks get power back ASAP. Those more rural areas could be out a while.
  2. 47*, .13" so far. Want some howlers later. Bring em down!
  3. I did. It is not a broad spectrum pre-m though so it depends on the types of weeds you have.
  4. Depends on how thick/thin the lawn is imo. Fertilizing in spring also encourages weed growth so given how thin my lawn is I also went with Scotts Starter w/ Weed Preventer. Has a pre-emergent that also allows new grass seed to grow. If it is well established I would throw down a fertilizer but make sure it doesn't have a pre-emergent in it.
  5. Slow and steady. When we bought it to so far this year. Overseeded the thin spots and hoping they fill in a bit.
  6. No real cold weather coming in. Check your soil temps. I like low 50s, just takes longer to germinate. I'd rather go early and have less germination but lasting than later in spring and have it all burn up in July.
  7. Already did a moss treatment and overseeded a ton yesterday. I'm actually surprised with how much I'm starting with this spring and how green it is.
  8. Radar is looking mixy up the river valley. A few hundred feet might be a difference maker.
  9. Leaning towards a positive bust here. Not 18" when 3-4" is expected like December but I can see 6+ in Hippy Valley north of Springfield.
  10. Thumpin....biggest flakes I've seen since a 4" an hour day at Pico.
  11. Consistent fat flakes the past hour. Not much sticking yet other than the lawn. Why is no one discussing sun angle yet? lol
  12. It did very well with the first December storm and a few others with R/S lines.
  13. LOVE the prancing moose emblem. Volvos > Subarus in the snow after my wife and I have owned one of each. Wouldn't mind a V90 with a 3" lift on it one day for a winter whip lol
  14. I was shocked to see them listing lower liftline as open with snowmaking. I know they have done it before but I didn't think they did it often.
  15. Nice to wake up to snow falling and whitening everything up.
  16. So what exactly is an "unblocked" flow? Still learning my upslope aside from humidity, Froude, etc.

  17. 1.4" from the NYE event. 33" on the year.
  18. Was cool to see on radar. The classic Rt89 to Montpelier Streamer and then Rt 30 Steamer down to Magic. Think they grabbed a couple extra inches today too.
  19. Speaking of illness, I don't remember hearing about flu type b going around so much. Towards the end of the semester it seemed to be running wild at UMass. Wife got it this week. Our 4 month old started developing a fever this morning and is cranky. Hello New Year!
  20. Catamount really is an under rated area. I remember "Off Stage" being an amazing mogul run similar to Bear Trap at Mount Snow. Catapult is no joke. Looking forward to trying to ski their new terrain this year. It's like Sundown adding Satan's Stairway X2.
  21. Winds are roaring. Grill rolled a few feet on the deck.
  22. Solid 5-6" still covering the front yard. The pack is on to Cincinnati.
