It will probably help that most of this will happen overnight/morning. GFS is showing some crazy rates which would help with accumulation if that happens. 

GFS goes crazy with 12” RVA, 15” in Short Pump. Would love to see it but have a hard time buying it giving the warm ground we have.

Agree. Not getting my hopes up but will be happy to see some flakes. 

Possibly severe thunderstorms on Thursday with snow possible Friday. Sounds about right for March in VA

Right now it’s on its own with that so take with a grain a salt. NAM also may be seeing more sleet for us so that would cut back on totals. I haven’t seen a NAM sleet map

I think WeatherBell offers sleet maps but you have to pay 

NAM showing about .4 of ice. RDPS shows almost an inch 

If I’m not mistaken I believe every model has us getting at least .50 of ice. Prepare today!
